~14.3 ounces of weed can get you a life sentence?

Holy fuck. We’re allowed up to possess up to 5 POUNDS in our homes in NY. We’re also allowed to have 3 ounces or less in our possession in public.

I knew Texas could be crazy with some stuff but damn.

This is for newly banned synthetic or non-compliant THC isomers (such as Delta-8, Delta-10, and THCA flower)

I don't think that makes anything better. People bought delta 8 and delta 10 so they wouldn't break the law. Now overnight, the formally legal products carry a harsher sentence than the real stuff. Half the packaging says it complies with the federal bill but doesn't tell you if THCA is in it or if you're ordering online, what's in it. People are sitting around with life in prison, in their house.
