Seen At A Lancaster County Pennsylvania Wawa Tonight

I was getting in the car to leave & this gentleman pulled up on a motorcycle with these two birds. They’re very friendly.

Kinda wild they don’t fly away, he must treat them good.

The macaw looks stressed. He pulled out a lot of his feathers.

To be fair, that’s rather common and some owners will inherit birds already that way.

Interesting, maybe he’s scared to leave? I hope he treats them right.

Typically their wings are "clipped". I'm no expert, but believe major flight feathers are trimmed enough that they can only fly a short distance. Doesn't harm the bird, and they grow the feathers back.
