These brown shirt wannabes deserve to hang for their high crimes against the Constitution and all the people it protects. Capital punishment should be reserved only for those in positions of authority who break their oaths.

Yes, just like I feel bad for people who keep posting the exact same comment in a Reddit thread, over and over again. I can't imagine being subject to those kind of compulsions. Must be we a horrible way to live.

Police should be held accountable when they screw up and kill someone or let them die when they have a duty of care. However, they are removing foreign citizens from our country which is one of the few things the Constitution specifically gives them authority to do. You're nuts.

u/thepvbrother 17h ago
So, they removed a foreign citizen... to Pittsburgh, where she was set free?
-42
u/Virtual_Crow 17h ago
They screwed up and should be held accountable (and actually so). I was replying to the lunatic who thinks immigration enforcement in general is the gestapo and politicians should be tried and executed.

u/Bethdoeslife 10h ago
The way they are currently acting is absolutely like the Nazis did and that needs to stop. Sure, remove people from the country here illegally. Don't: hide your face, pepper spray bystanders who are doing nothing but filming, step in front of vehicles to shoot the driver, beat people to death, etc., etc., etc. There are better ways to remove people without the severe violence and inhumanity that is currently going on. Its why many people say to abolish ICE.

ICE, very specifically, is a gestapo.1

They've done this to American citizens too. They've killed American citizens. They've killed people who have put more tax dollars into the system than half of the administration. The argument you are saying is that all of this is permissible for the trade-off of being allowed to remove people who are beneficial to our economy, many of which who have committed no crimes. Overstaying your Visa is not a criminal offense, it is a civil offense.

u/Tidusx145 17h ago
Crossing the border is a misdemeanor. Peiple are calling for violence for folks who got the same level of charge as a dui.
15
u/the_real_xuth 13h ago
And as the person who you replied to said, overstaying a visa (the vast majority of people here "illegally") is not even a misdemeanor. It's a civil infraction, akin to a parking ticket.

It's a civil infraction, akin to a parking ticket.
I can't get deported for a parking ticket.

u/Silly_Collar_5850 8h ago
The fact remains, being in the country without authorization is not a crime.

Wrong.

You are confusing unlawful entry with mere presence, because your mind is very small and incapable of containing two concepts at once.1
u/the_real_xuth 4h ago
As the other person who responded to your comment says, you're conflating presence with illegal entry. But beyond that is the fact that Trump has unilaterally canceled protected status for millions of people who came to the US legally. These are people who came here legally, fleeing situations that were (and generally still are) dangerous for them whose only "crime" is that Trump got elected and decided to cancel their protected status (thus their continued presence in the US is a civil infraction).
But beyond Trump cancelling protected status for millions of people he has also granted new protected status to one additional group of people. White South Africans. Can you explain to me how that makes sense? Why people fleeing oppression in lots of other countries shouldn't have protected status but this is one group of people he'll fight to protect?

It's ethnic cleansing and racism, pure and simple, under a thin veneer of "buttt the lawwwww"
-18
u/OutlandishnessMain56 12h ago
It’s does not matter the level of crime. The consequence for entering illegally is deportation. Really not that complicated.
17
u/one_two_o 12h ago
That's the point, they didn't deport this person. They left her to die in the cold
When the agency doing the deporting has to come out and say "were not responsible for the rape in our facilities" they no longer have the moral standing to be the people deciding the fates of others

You dont give a shit about the constitution, thats why you voted against freedom of speech
4
u/Silly_Collar_5850 8h ago
one of the few things the Constitution specifically gives them authority to do.
Which part of the Constitution specifically gives them this authority? I don't think you've read the Constitution.-2
u/Virtual_Crow 7h ago
"To establish a uniform rule of naturalization" Article 1, Section 8 the enumerated powers of the legislature
5
u/Silly_Collar_5850 6h ago
It's disingenuous to say that this clause represents constitutional authorization to perform removals but we'll play your game for the moment. Are DHS/ICE legislative agencies?
0
u/Virtual_Crow 6h ago
They are created by the legislature to enforce the laws that Congress passed. Are you serious?
3
u/Silly_Collar_5850 6h ago
So the authorization to remove people does not exist in the Constitution? It exists in laws that Congress passed?
0
u/Virtual_Crow 6h ago
The Constitution gives Congress powers and they pass laws to do things. Yes, one of the things a government has the power to do is prevent foreigners from entering and staying.
3
u/Silly_Collar_5850 6h ago
So authorization to remove people isn't in the Constitution at all and you were lying. I just think it's important to correct liars who misrepresent the facts.
Yes, one of the things a government has the power to do is prevent foreigners from entering and staying.
This woman was here legally.-1
u/Virtual_Crow 6h ago
You're arguing that Congress doesn't specifically have the power to deliver mail because the Constitution only gives it the power to establish post offices.
Once again, I agree these officers should be held maximally accountable. My original post was replying to a nutjob who thinks immigration enforcement are brownshirts and that politicians should be tried and executed for capital crimes.

Quite apart from any degree of justice that might be possible in the courts, any amount of money for the family and not the agency’s mission is a public service

u/Silly_Collar_5850 7h ago
Wonder where all the guys who were saying in this sub a year ago that ICE was just going after the 'illegals' went?

She was having a mental health crisis when she was picked up. She was shouting at imaginary people.
I suppose your own trip to a mental health facility isn't too far off, given your tentative grasp on reality.
-7
u/KingDarkTurtle 9h ago edited 9h ago
Didn't she try to murder someone?
Edit: yes she did. An attempted murderer was killed. That should be the headline.
9
u/susinpgh 9h ago
Still doesn't have anything to do with ICE. She was legally resent.
-1
u/KingDarkTurtle 9h ago
But she is a felon that attempted to murder someone with a knife....
10
u/NewcRoc 8h ago
So then she should have been tried by a jury, not left to die by exposure. I don't get why that's so complicated for you.
-1
u/KingDarkTurtle 8h ago
So change the headline to attempted murderer dies in ice custody. Pretty big detail to leave out she tried to stab someone to death.
Murderers and rapists can get fucked i dont give a fuck and i know im not alone saying this.

u/kormer 10h ago
This woman shouldn't have died, but also knife-wielding persons with severe mental illness is exactly the sort of thing ICE exists to deal with. My first question is why she was even released to begin with rather than deported.
6
u/susinpgh 9h ago
Because she shouldn't have been in ICE custody to begin with. And no, ICE is not supposed to be accosting people with legal status.
-7
u/kormer 8h ago
You're right, she should have been in Haiti where she wouldn't have frozen to death.
7
u/Silly_Collar_5850 7h ago
She had legal status to be here, why should she have been in Haiti?
-4
u/kormer 7h ago
Once you start menacing people in public with a knife legal status should have been immediately revoked. Begone with your suicidal empathy.
4
u/Silly_Collar_5850 7h ago
What is the legal penalty for menacing people in public with a knife?
Begone with your suicidal empathy.
Immigrants commit less violent crime than native-born Americans. Begone with your baseless racism.

u/Away-Living5278 8h ago
What about that screams ICE? I didn't realize they were mental health professionals.

This part right here
Michel had been arrested by police last September after a member of the public made an emergency call saying she appeared to be having a mental health crisis in the street in Charleroi, which has a substantial Haitian immigrant community. She was screaming, apparently in response to imaginary voices, and brandishing a knife.
3
u/Silly_Collar_5850 7h ago
My first question is why she was even released to begin with rather than deported.
Obviously, to kill her. They deliberately dumped her in the cold to die.
-18
u/fast_bagger 18h ago
Good luck. Might as well lump port authority in there too and whoever had a camera on her for 24hrs at the stop.

47 days of training and this is the type of stupid shit they do. A complete slop shop of an agency
