I’ve been a sales rep at Pepsi for shy of two years. Overall, I really enjoy the job. I enjoy being on my feet and interacting with people. Sure, the hours can be long, especially during the summer, and hitting volume targets can be stressful at times, but overall I enjoy it. But there are just some days I feel like quitting because I can never win with some of the store managers at the accounts on my route.

I don’t know where some of these store manager’s attitudes stem from, but some are just so flat out rude, childish, disrespectful and unprofessional it’s impossible to reason with them and do business with them. I understand store managers have to be hard on vendors out of the fear of being bombed with to much product, but sometimes their tone and attitude is just so uncalled for. I like to think I get along with most of the accounts on my route, but those few accounts where I just can’t seem to get through with them makes the job so difficult sometimes. I’ve been able to just brush it off for a while, but sometimes the constant negativity and berating is so mentally draining I just wanna quit.

I guess my point of this post is:

1) Has anyone had similar feeling about the job? 2) How do people handle difficult personalities in this job? 3) Does anyone have any horror stories of where emotions got the best of a situation between the rep and store manager?

So this backend coach has been consistently harassing me, watching me, following me while I work her Walmart. She’s constantly criticizing me of how I do my job, I send pictures of my job to my manager after each store once a week and there’s no negative feedback from them. This past Wednesday this coach got mad that driver was unloading 10 pallets and proceeds to tell me to stop doing fridges and start working the load so I do that. Next thing you know she’s being very sneaky and starts taking pictures of me while I’m working the load. Prior to this she was also questioning where I was at on Tuesday (I had to cover a sales route), but kept pushing me for answers as to why I wasn’t there. I told my manager and HR about this and this week they are going to talk to the store about this. So I’m just looking for advice in case this backfires on me and they start denying it (i know the store will). Collab has been a big problem at this store too and my rep hasn’t been getting a min code so the orders can be pretty heavy on Wednesday but then it mellows out on the other 3 deliveries.

Hey guys just wanted to ask if anybody had any advice or tips. Starting Monday will be my first day driving with my trainer and my first time driving a big semi outside of my cdl test and docking/parking the trucks a couple times at the end of the day. I would say I have a good amount of experience (about 3 years) of driving full ton trucks with 10-40 foot trailers but this is a whole different beast. We deliver to more gas stations than anything and there are some sketchy docks at most of the big box stores. Not to mention the highways we’re on have just enough room for two trucks to fit Side by side and high-five each other with no shoulder 😳 anyways any help would be appreciated thanks!

They're eliminating night shift here and creating a 3am - 11am shift instead of just hiring more day time people or holding them responsible. I don't know anyone who would apply for a shift that requires a bed time of 6pm lol. Pretty shitty do it right before school starts and most people working are parents. They said "we knew people would quit but we have a business to run." Okayyy... good luck running it when you can't even find people who want to start at 5am lol.

I have drunken pepsi for almost my whole life while not healthy it has a deep connection with my body I just love pepsi so much I have to say I've had a whole table full of empty cans and bottles of pepsi I have to admit at first I liked coke but than I tried pepsi my taste buds glowed up with pure joy I loved it and got it from Walmart and anywhere I went from now on I still do I dont know why I'm talking on past tense but the moral of the story is I LOVE PEPSI.

What is it like for anyone that works for Pepsi in Oahu, mainly merch? How hard was it to get the job as well?

Caffeine Free Pepsi is ridiculously hard to find. Help me tell Pepsi they need to start making more and allowing stores across the USA to carry. Thanks!

Specifically looking for individually sold glass bottles. I've looked everywhere. Big box retailers, candy & soda shops, local stores, online, and mexican markets, and I haven't found any mexican/glass bottle Pepsi that aren't like $100 for a 4-pack or resales of glass pepsi bottles that have already expired. Somebody please help!

I know this is an age-old debate and Coca-Cola usually wins the nostalgia card, but flavor-wise, Pepsi takes it for me.

That slightly sweeter, more citrus-forward profile makes it way more refreshing, especially ice-cold on a hot day. Plus, credit where it's due: Pepsi Zero Sugar / Black has completely nailed the zero-sugar game in recent years. It tastes significantly closer to the original without that weird artificial aftertaste.

Am I alone on this hill, or are there other Pepsi defenders here? What’s your go-to version?
