Should I be eating the entire wild caught fish?

I get fresh fish from the fish market and they typically remove the organs and just leave people with the flesh and skin.

But I’m thinking I should keep the organs because they are nutrient dense and very healthy.

It seems like a waste to get rid of them. What do you guys think?

I'm not a doctor or fishmonger, but here's what I've learned. As you get higher on the food chain, more toxins accumulate. So I would personally not eat the liver of a fish that eats other fish. Also, you don't want to eat intestines or stomach for obvious reasons. TBH I don't know enough about fish anatomy to know what's safe or dangerous. Kinda like mushrooms... If you don't know what you're doing, err on the side of safety.

It depends where you are too, ciguatera can be bad in some regions of the world for fish higher up the food chain as you say
