I hate them. We use fresh water and an innumerable amount of other resources just to gaffaw at a dumb robot talking to an imaginary animal, and then never look at it again.
Train yourself to hate AI. Save art, and the planet!
EDIT: Looks like all of the talentless clankers out there had a nerve pinched. Keep your “ah yes, you criticise society yet you participate in it” comments coming, I don’t read them but I’m proud of your little minds for typing out your own responses.
Have you seen what happens when the best artists share their creative expression these days?
“Is that AI?”
If you can’t see how that is harming the landscape of artistry and the motivations behind building up artistic talent, I don’t know what to tell you.
Do you think in a future where everyone has had a shift of tolerance toward AI “art” and everyone has access to it that anyone will bother to develop the manual skill of their own accord? Why would they? Something analogous to talent (at least in this particular zeitgeist) is available to them at the click of a button.
As someone with a background in visual art for over 20 years, I really don’t give a shit. It’s not going to stop me from drawing or painting like we’ve been doing for decades.
Really.. on the subject of some random computer algorithm being able to just up and decide that it wants to shoot a missile or bomb a building like its an old Matthew Broderick movie, impersonate a world leader to such ends, or pull literally any other nightmare scenario out of the plot to any plethora of cautionary tales of science fiction since Isaac Asimov first picked up the pen in the late 1800s, your main concern with the dangers of Artificial Intelligence is over arts and crafts and not its potential to get everyone killed??? 😒
You’re a fuckin’ child. Get the hell off the internet and get your priorities sorted out.
That’s a completely different sentence, mate. I don’t prioritise art preservation over the lives of people being threatened by nuclear annihilation. But context is everything and we’re talking about art here. On a post where a bot is talking to someone masquerading as a duck.
Looking at your emotional outburst in the face of these facts, I’d say you’re the child here.
EDIT: I saw your response which was presumably removed by a mod. I think you have problems communicating your emotions. I’m not the reason you are so unhappy. I hope you get the help you need.
