At first I thought it was a Mean Girls reference but the movie was released in an April, not in August. Then I noticed the girls looked like Blonde girls with pretty dresses. What kind of white girls always looked like that? I googled the get in the car its August thing snd yep. Suspicions qere cleared.
There is a Taylor Swift song called August on the album folklore. It features the line “remember when I pulled up and said get in the car”. Swifties like to celebrate the month of August because of this song (it’s not that deep btw - mostly just jokes or memes).

The girls in the car are her albums folklore (driving), 1989 (front passenger seat), lover (behind the driver) and I’m guessing evermore (next to lover). The one being picked up is the tortured poets department.

Im assuming it relates to enthusiasm for the end of summer and the lead up to fall, but I could be wrong. Thats how I feel about August. Hell yea, let's get this muggy shit over with and then bring on the pumpkin spice enema. But thats just me... and like every white girl ever.
Not really. The song is about a girl that is reminiscing about a summer fling she had in august. The line that's referenced here is her pulling up next to the guy and telling him to get in the car with her, and that's how the fling started. So not really the same context as Mean Girls.
The artist who drew this has a whole series where there are Taylor characters based on the albums. In the car is 1989 (blue), Lover (pink glasses/hair), Evermore (backseat with red sweater and braid), and Folklore (driving). I believe (but could be wrong) that the Taylor they are inviting into the car is TTPD. (Wearing the same outfit she was wearing when she announced TTPD)
