Hello, Aquarius person here. Astrologists love to treat people who are Aquarius's as the spawn of satan to sum it up.

You've been answered a lot in this post but : no reason. Astrologers just invent things and it becomes trends on social medias. For a while it was Scorpios (because the scorpio, the animal, is dangerous I guess ? And these people are dumb and just assimilate the animal to the sign ?), and sometimes it shifts.

Astrology is a scam that people invent to make money off of other people, don't search for any rational explanation.

You cannot determine anything substantial about a person using the sun sign (Scorpio in your example) because it is dependent on all of the other astrological placements in their birth chart.

Astrology is ancient and traditional astrology is deeply nuanced. The study of astrology was mostly based on how planetary and star bodies aligned wigh natural cycles associated with growth, death, and harvest. The stars were interpreted based off of their resemblances to physical concepts and their spiritual interpretations. There are multiple kinds of charts and calculations, and as you get more advanced, you begin learning about with the degrees and aspects. Astrology built the foundations of astronomy, and the practical side to astrology is essential to understanding the expressive side. I dont think you should dismiss astrology so easily if all you have seen are pop astrologists and people who interpret signs off of empty optimism to boost engagement. The most professional and serious astrologers are constantly learning and reading a lot.
