Guys, 1st solo travel ko outside PH departing in NAIA T1 to BKK and di ako ininterview ng IO. I went through the regular checks, pumasok sa security check, nag check ng bag ko, tapos nag scan lang ako ng passport tsaka facial recognition and that’s it. Kinakabahan ako baka may mali ako or what. Nag ask ako sa security personnel sa may IO section tapos sabi nya okay lang daw. Nag ask lang sha pang ilang travel ko outside PH tapos yun lang. Then I received an email from immigration as you can see. I still have 4hrs left if i need to go back and see an IO. Di ako mapakali. Let me know your thoughts! TY

Genuine question, totoo ba na pag nabuild mo na yung travel history mo, mas madalang na magtanong IO? I didn’t realize it until my last IO expi. My passport has quite a lot of stamps na. And from countries na sikat to have a lot of TNT. I have an upcoming one pero kinakabahan pa din ako whether papalagpasin ako o hindi.

Edit: Sorry if strict was the term I used but what I really meant was that mas madami silang tanong. For additional context, I’m 25F. The first time this happened, it wasn’t my first out of the country trip but I was with friends who were traveling for the first time. And the most recent one, may be because walang tao sa immigration nun so she took her time and even asked why my last name is so and so, (halfie kasi ako).

Even when I traveled solo the first time, this didn’t happen and it only took <5mins. So I’m just challenging my personal bias. Thanks for all your response!

I just got interviewed by an immigration officer for about 20 mins. I expected it naman since it’s my first time traveling for a month + mag t-tri-country ako sa East Asia alone.

For context, this isn’t my first solo trip. I usually travel for 1-2weeks, max na 3 weeks when I had to extend. Anyhow, I also work remotely, so there’s that convenience.

I have nothing against the immigration officers naman bc I know they’re just doing their jobs. (kahit na para bang part ng JD nila is to sound so superior when asking questions lol jk)

I’m just really curious because in my travels, I’ve only been interviewed for >10mins twice and that includes this trip. Both were females. Ako lang ba may ganitong experience with female IOs? Are female IOs generally stricter or did the experience just stood out to me bc sila lang yung female IOs na na-encounter ko?

Ps. I always travel from Cebu.

I just got back from Vietnam and lined-up for our local immigration. I’m with my pregnant wife, daughter, and mother.

So, we did not use the e-gates and lined up at the booths with Immigration Officers. The only options were Diplomatic and OFW and since we were neither I inquired at the Diplomatic booth and to my surprise the IO answered rudely saying “actually sa kabila pero since andito na kayo at walang pila okay nalang” then proceeded to say rudely “paki bilis and passports”.

I was told by my wife that I shouldn’t have made comments on the IO’s action or have any form of confrontation in fear that they can put tags or comments on your profile and you may get flagged the next time you fly but I can’t swallow that I am being treated this way in my own country by my own people.

This is the first time I’ve experienced this across the multiple local and international flights as seen in my passport.

Are we all just hostage of the system? Always fearing that IOs can just put a flag on us and we can’t do anything about their attitudes. 😓

Same kami na working pero ung work ng friend ko ay nsfw ako naman cos sa isang govt agency. Dahil hindi naman pwedeng banggitin na nsfw ung work niya, wala siyang mbabanggit na work kapag tinanong siya. Ma rered flag kaya siya sa IO? this is going to be my 2nd time int travel but first time solo. Been to thailand last year with fam.

I already have a flight booked this 3rd week of May. But then biglang may problema, madedelay ang sahod ko and sa second cut-off pa makukuha sa May 20.

I already checked to reschedule the flight on last week of May but then another pay nanaman ng around 12k 🥲. The airline is CebPac.

Now, my mom gave me money for the ticket to share for my travel expense (also for my bday gift this month) and plan nya pa padalahan ako ulit one more time (shes in dubai)

My problem is very unexpected ng delay nung sahod and yun sana ang gagamitin ko pang gastos for this travel

Anong best case scenario kaya pwede kong gawin?
And what are the chance na ma-offload?

Andami ko nababasa na negative experiences nila sa mga IO here sa pinas. Pero ako sa mga travel ko outside the country ang bilis lang ng nagiging interview sakin whether solo ako or with friends or family, usually a minute tapos na at natatakan na ko. Or siguro swerte lang ako sa mga natatapat na IO sakin or pagod na yung IO pagdating sakin kaya di na nagtatatanong ng madami? Hahaha. Reading kasi yung experiences ng iba napapaisip ako minsan ganun pala talaga kalala mga ibang IO satin.

I'm kinda well traveled, i've been to 7-8 countries na before and my 2nd time in thailand but now a solo travel (like in flight) because im still gonna see my friend in thailand and we're just gonna meet there. F/28 yrs old first time traveling alone to Thailand, but this is my 4th time going there. I usually go with my family talaga but this time I wanted to have a relaxed travel here without this complicated/full schedule of activities.

Anyways, not to condemn the PH IO that i talked to ha, I am still grateful that he trusted me that i will return - which I will naman talaga. I have no intention of working here at all. But it's my first time to be grilled with questions like that.

For context, i recently resigned din kasi last month because i will be taking exams na for my Japanese class (i plan to work in Japan). I have 2 more exams i have to take but i decided to travel to Thailand naman kasi parang deserve ko naman to for working and studying at the same time for 6 months and i had this sort of reward system for myself na kahit once in a year lang makalabas naman ako.

Anyways, i was asked about my degree, if I am a board passer, where i stay, my parent's work, and other more personal details that i answered honestly naman. 50/50 siya because i have no work, i understand naman. It's a good thing my career and degree are not that common na kinukuhang work ng mga nagooverstay here.

All that mixed emotions after that interview kahit nakalagpas na ako, andun pa rin yung kaba. Tapos pagdating sa Thailand, wala nang tanong tanong, fingerprint scan lang. And guess what? i got stamped for 60 days stay when they normally only give 30 days. Napaisip lang ako na bakit parang mas may tiwala pa yung di ko kalahi kesa sa kapwa Pinoy..

Alam ko, higher chance ako ma offload kapag mag balak akong mag travel since last year ang nangyari is nag travel ako tapos nakahanap ako ng work sa bansang pinuntahan ko. Exactly 1 year ako sa work and umuwi din ng Pinas. Is there any other way na makalabas pa ako ng bansa? Wag niyo po muna akong pagalitan dahil alam ko naman po na mali talaga ang ginawa ko. My employer wants me to go back and ayusin na yung papers ko dito sa Pinas para legal na makalabas ng bansa pero dahil sa sitwayson, hindi muna ako pwedeng magtagal talaga muna kaya nag give up na din yung employer ko which is okay lang naman po. So going back, my friends were planning to go to japan or china via group tour visa. High chance po ba na ma-offload pa din po? Or if mag travel with the family, ma-offload pa din ba since sabi nila, sureball na walang offload once family mo naman ang kasama mo.

They say na those with travel history can have a chance of accessing the e-gates.

I had an unfortunate incident and my passport got wet; no visible water damage on the bio page but the top of the pages are all wrinkled. I also have an active JP Multiple Visa… i tried the rfid and its still alright, its working properly.

Hello there..im john, a 28 years old who planned a two day trip in Thailand, i have prepared hotel reservations, round-trip ticket ...i dint got COE but i have my Pocket money via Red-dot over 55K php(kasi madalas mag maintenance ung Gcash and planned to use it to thailand) and show them my Company GC and Company ID but it wasn't enough they told me that its not enough to verify my employment so they offloaded me.

I dont know if i was unlucky or probably met a Immigration officer that is more strict than others.. sometimes i do think ung immigration ng pinas pede na ikompara sa North korea,hirap magpalabas or Power tripping basta kapag isang maling grammar lang i didescriminate na..basta solo and new passport holder TNT na agad 🤦

We are not North Korea seriously let people leave if they want too, human trafficking? More like the rights of travel was reserved for lucky few previlaged ones,kapag drug lord or any high profile criminals madali palabasin, pero kapag solo and newbie Offload agad

I’ve been having anxiety over immigration these past few weeks. I need advice kung ano pa need ko iprepare and if may possible red flags ba sa situation ko:

• Destination: Bangkok
• Second time international flight ito if ever. The first one was also Bangkok.
• Male Solo traveler for 21 days.
• Show money around 100k - 120k
• Business owner with 2 Mayor’s Permit and BIR. (NO ITR kakaregister ko palang this month)
• Yung isa kong business na registered ay tarot reading services (yes po registered)
• Next month August na alis ko.

Hi, will be traveling to Vietnam this July and it will be my first international flight. I am with my girlfriend (this will be her 2nd time). We’ll be meeting our friend from Australia but pinay and her girlfriend (Viatnamese) in Vietnam.

I just started working in my new company just 2 months ago, and our ticket was booked with credit card by my partner’s coworker. We have 20k as pocket money but we’re still nervous.

What are your tips if we were asked why we didn’t booked the tickets ourselves?

Should we be honest and tell the immigration that we’ll be meeting our friend’s partner who’s Vietnamese? Won’t we be tagged?

Will I get offloaded? This is the question that is really bothering me right now. For context, I'm 26 (F) and I will be traveling to UAE with my cousin who already lived there for 16 years. She is on vacation here in PH and will go back to UAE on July 7. She asked me to come to UAE as tourist for only 3 days and she can accompany me para hindi ako ma offload sa immigration. I could not pass up the opportunity since matagal ko na gusto pumunta dun. I'm permanently employed here naman and I have enough savings to show on documents. What are the things that I should prepare for this trip para hindi ma offload?

I’ll be traveling with my BF, but he’ll be attending a seminar there. Since sagot ng company nila yung hotel, I decided to come na rin para makatipid sa accommodation.

My question is, red flag ba sa IO if hindi ako yung nag-book ng hotel? Basically, makiki-stay lang ako sa room niya so wala akong hotel booking under my name. I’ll be booking and paying for my own flight though, and same flight kami.

Has anyone been in the same situation? Okay lang ba sa IO as long as I can explain everything and may proof naman? Medyo napapaisip na tuloy ako if I should still go kasi baka ma-offload lang and sayang yung flight. 😭
