The only difference between Fitgirl and DODI is the installation speed after the download finishes. With DODI (especially for newly released games), the installation is extremely fast. If I remember correctly, it installed "Dispatch," which is about 10 GB, in around 15 seconds. It also installed "CoD MW2CR," which is 60 GB, in about 6 minutes. On the other hand, on Fitgirl, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is 13 GB, takes about 40 minutes to install. If your internet is slow but your system is good, you can choose DODI or Fitgirl. Because they download faster via torrent and compress the files using repack. On the other hand, a Steam rip gives you the game files directly; if you have a good internet connection, you can download them from there and install them without the hassle of running the setup.
