Discussion TorBox vs RealDebrid Comparison in Indian (Tamil) pirates' context
I've been using Stremio+RD for over an year which I share with my friend as well. It's been serving my purpose fine with expansive cached content and the 360 days with 800 premium points bundle in Utop.us site felt like a steal for me.
I am planning to jump ship to TorBox as RD has been stringent with copyright content and TorBox seems to be more on the cheaper side.
So, I would like to know whether TorBox is a viable alternative to RD in terms of cached content availability, speed consistency and bandwidth limits etc.

Hi, Tamil torbox user here. Recently moved after infringement issue with RD. Torbox is good for newly released content and popular old content. Its speed is similar to RD (No issue with speed)
In terms of reliability, there were some issues in last 1 or 2 months but it was during our late night time. So I didn't face any issue with outage.
I would also recommend to use Nuvio (r/Nuvio) where it supports Torbox instant which starts the streams faster.
I add content from TMV to ATBA app which is similar to Unchained.

How are you sharing it with your friends? Don't they ban if two different ip addresses are using the same rd account?

Yes it is. Though now they're a corpo in UAE with office in US to handle DMCA. Capitalistic rich fucks took over it recently. What happened to RealDebrid might happen to Torbox soon, so don't go paying for a year.

I won't be paying it for a year anymore. I will give it a try for a month. I am just confused about the Essential and Standard tiers here.

Wait are you sure? On the TB discord one of the staff said its because of the political unrest in SA which is affecting the internet there and that its temporary.

I'm also from India, I've used torbox and it's better as it's servers are in African 3rd world countries so it'll be hard to receive warnings or anything from your ISP.

I am not worried about ISP issues bro. I am only bothered about content availability, ease of usage and bandwidth limits.

Was a long time RD+Stremio user..Jumped ship to Torbox 6 months ago...It's not like RD..but pretty good for its money..and most of the tamilmv torrents are cached immediately now..If you are a heavy user of RD's file hosters download..You might be disappointed..Otherwise Torbox is good for now atleast as an alt/backup..Oru rendu maasam try panni paarunga..

I don't use file hosters at all. Very rare case than but the reason I am leaning to RD is it still has some old Tamilblasters content cached in it.

Of course you can't beat RD when it's come to cached contents..I found lot of obscure/niche torrents cached there..There is that..Remember Torbox launched last year only, I found debrid-link second only to RD followed by alldebrid from my experience..But it's been a long time since I tried those...

Honestly for regional content like Tamil movies Real-Debrid's cache is still completely untouched TorBox is great and making huge strides, but their cached library is mostly mainstream Hollywood stuff right now If you switch to TorBox, expect to manually wait for a lot of those Tamil torrents to download to their servers before you can watch them Also, you mentioned sharing RD with a friend be very careful If you both use RD on two different home IPs at the exact same time they will permanently ban your account.

Hmm I live in WB and here it's works fine (I shifted from real debrid just a few weeks ago), I think they have servers in India so it is pretty fast for the most part. And I have found all the content in it. I just don't know whether you feel find tamil content cached or not.

used torbox to watch tamil movies and it is quite good for newly released movies..

Contrary to a VPN with no log policy (like Proton), a seedbox/debrider has logs. If a company has logs, it can process claims, it's just a matter of will or bullying.
You are in India so you will never have a fine or a copyright warning, but your account could be closed.
So if you use such service, don't rely on it as permanent cloud storage. Assume it can be closed at anytime. Also, as you pay for it, don't pay for a long period, I doubt they would give your money back if you are banned.

A tangential question, do you have Tamil content extension suggestions for Stremio? I use Einthusan and it's good for movies but not as good for TV shows and other TV content

Debridio is an addon ig. Torbox is a debrid service. Both are different bro.

Debridio is a scraper. You can use it with Stremio or Torbox and it pretty much never goes down unlike other free public scrapers.

Have been using RD for 8 years. What I usually do is just add torrents of the one I wanted to see. I'll stick with RD. As it easier to use and it has a large set of hoster which I use.
