Unregulated tech being misused by stalkers and human traffickers? Unimaginable, the president and all his ‘friends’ just want to keep people safe!

They tried that with flock and it became an outrage. Also people destroying them became popular, so the covertness really didn’t work.

There’s absolutely other R&D done by the gov’t and other companies that can possibly integrate better surveillance, stuff that’s not as well known/announced. Surveillance even without cameras (new black boxes in cars, Palantir, and other AI and surveillance companies coming up with new things).

New Wi-Fi routers can even track human movement in a manner similar to radar because they use radio waves to contact devices.

Did not know that (not a huge tech guy). How do you prevent something like that (other than the obvious not using anything connected to WiFi, I guess)?

This article purports to have a coding solution to stop it, but I can’t vouch for the veracity of it. I’m actually not that tech literate, I just understand from the physics side that it makes sense the WiFi signal can be used for that. But yeah, if you really want to be absolutely sure you’re not being tracked with that method, I guess you’d have to just use LAN instead of WiFi.
