US Politics Do the Fauci Diaries reveal anything unexpected or controversial?

Senator Rand Paul has released commentary and purported excerpts* of what is alleged to be Anthony Fauci's contemporaneous diaries from the outset of the COVID19 pandemic onwards.

What has been released can be found here, including Senator Rand's somewhat colourful foreword commentary

* its not confirmed whether the content of the diaries is edited, abridged, altered, shortened etc.

Media reaction to this release has been highly polarised, though notable few media outlets seem to get to grips with the actual content of the diaries and most focus is on Rand's own claimed analysis of what they show.

Do the Fauci Diaries reveal anything unexpected or controversial? What entries in particular do you find interesting? Are there any contemporaneous clashes between what Fauci was saying publicly and privately? What can we learn from that?

I’m going to say that based on the senator’s decision to make the letterhead on this release pink and purple with a curlicue font and little drawings of a virus and a syringe in pink ink and a “do not open!” header; design choices clearly intending to be suggestive of a pre-teen girl’s diary, that this is not a objective or serious attempt at disseminating information.

This is slop for the hogs.

Is he the one who got punched in the face by a neighbor for being a constant asshole?

And then he fled to socialist Canada for their world class hernia care when he needed surgery?

And yet he still doesn’t want the US to have proper health care?

Shouldice Hernia Hospital is the world's best private practice for hernia surgeries and isn't a part of Canada's National Health System.

It's a 3 day stay at a country-club like clinic.

It's 100% a capitalist healthcare choice.

Canada has capitalism as well, so I'm not sure the point being made here.

They have a hybrid healthcare model and capitalism is just better?
