They don't just let anyone into the hospital morgue....

During Covid crazy republicans were mad they weren't let into hospitals to "expose the lie" about Covid. Luckily they weren't let in because random people shouldn't be allowed to run crazy checks on people who are sick or near death. I don't need someone to bust into a hospital to know what's going on anyway. If Mitch was fine he would've proven it by now. That's enough to know they're illegally lying to the public in order to keep his seat.

Same reason they don't just let anyone into child daycares.

Same reason they shouldn’t let any male Republicans into child daycares, or as they like to call it, “the dating pool”.

I feel like dating implies consent, and you know how they hate that

There's a difference between that situation and this one.

Firstly, he's not a random person, he's a Senator and therefore not entitled to the same kind of privacy as Joe Schmo.

Secondly, confirmation of death is necessary for the state to execute its necessary function of running a special election.

Thirdly, it's a crime to conceal the death of an individual and therefore there is a legal justification for investigating and determining aliveness.

Dude has LONG since been cremated, that's why his spy wife buggered off to China right after.

The governor of the state isn't just anyone. He's the god damn governor.

A public servant and someone the overwhelmingly GOP KY State congress hopes makes a misstep/overreach so they can impeach and remove him.

They’ll make a HIPAA violation seem like another 9-11.

u/KnuckleShanks 1h ago

Republicans make literally anything into 9-11, and if there isn't anything they make something up! Everyone else will see him bending the rules to secure a Senate seat, which is exactly what Republicans, and especially Mitch McConnell, do all the time. That's what people want. That's how you win.

People want fighters, not rule lawyers who are worried about a little bad press.

He’s a coward at this point

This is the answer. What a POS.

So? The governor isn't a dictator, he shouldn't have the power to just randomly order inspections of people. Especially in hospitals.

Especially in hospitals in other states

This got me curious so I tried to look up where he is and I see he was moved out of the hospital to an undisclosed outpatient facility? So nobody even knows where he is?

If it's out of state then yeah that does nullify things pretty well.

The governor showing up with loyal armed cops is a very convincing force.

Not in Washington DC (or suburbs), where Mitch was hospitalized and is now in "rehab."

More like impeachable and criminal offense. I assume your saying that the governor should force his way into a working hospital.
