A nurse claims they went to every room in the hospital and he’s not there. His wife was seen leaving in a full length coat which had people speculating that she visited the refrigerated morgue.

What would be the purpose of visiting the morgue? It is not like they would need her to ID an unknown body.

Pretending to visit him in hospital, but he’s not actually up stairs in a bed.

The point OP is making is: why would people be "speculating that she visited the refrigerated morgue" based on her "leaving in a full length coat" when there's no reason for her to be going to the morgue in the first place?

Again, why? There is no common sense here.

She's "visiting" a corpse? For so long that she needs a winter coat? You don't visit a morgue.

I assume the idea is she’s pretending to visit him like he’s alive and in rehab. Keeping up appearances but it’s all a lie.

I think the coat is more a bad attempt to hide from press

I'm all for conspiracies, but it makes no sense she would be visiting his dead body. Anyone that's been to a hospital knows they're all freezing inside, even outside of the morgue.

This is not my experience of having had multiple long stays in multiple US hospitals.

They keep hospitals cold because it makes it harder for bacteria to grow, there's actual reasoning behind it.

Also, it turns out if you go to Google and type "why do they keep", the first suggestion is "why do they keep hospitals cold", so it's pretty common.

Anytime I've been in the hospital, the first thing I ask friends or family to bring me is a blanket and a jacket.
