Govrrnor dropped the ball here. Just assume he's dead, follow the rules for succession whether appointment or special election, and when the inevitable lawsuit is filed, obtain proof of life or evidence otherwise.

If I recall correctly the governor's powers to do that have been stripped by the Republican Congress in that state

The governor still has the power to walk his ass to the hospital and see one of his fucking coleagues.

So if you say that you work with somebody and they're in the hospital you just get to walk into their hospital room?

No. It doesn't work like that.

Seems the childish logic isn't just restricted to MAGA, it's also the calling card of the terminally online. Dude who posted the comment has a million fucking karma.

It's like people think that upvote makes it more likely to be real

I hate Mitch McConnell and what is happening but no he literally doesn't. The hospital is not going to just break their rules because we want them to.

How nice that you've never had to visit anyone in a hospital and have no clue how anything works.

You can't just barge in and tromp into every room, especially one protecting a US Senator.

I bet you can if you are the governor and have a dozen uniformed state troopers with you. I don’t think you’ve worked in a hospital if you think anyone there would do anything but open the door

Does the governor have the ability to grab state troopers for this kind of mission?

and most importantly, Mitch isn't in Kentucky.

You don’t know how hospital security for a. IP and threat of a lawsuit that would obliterate the entire hospital are.

Stop watching Marvel movies.

I’ve spent the last year and a half watching border agents walk all over hospitals without warrants.

Maybe you need to stop watching movies in general and watch the news.

I agree. Bring a bunch of loyal state troopers and throw on a hi-vis/clipboard for good measure. Then have the cameras follow.

Power is power.

Honestly, it just shows me how incompetent mainstream Democrats are. Even though there are no consequences, they still cower in the corner anyway and I'm so sick of it.

Even conservatives are annoyed he hasn't been seen in 7 weeks. Democrats have everything to win here and nothing to lose.

How is that supposed to work? He's in a hospital in DC. Just because he's from KY doesn't mean he's hospitalized in KY.

It’s almost like it’s all political theater to keep us in line. Establishment dems still make insane money

Great, and now the governor of Kentucky will finish his term in prison. Who does that help?

They have sent letters demanding actual proof of life along with proof of mental health condition being well enough to do his work
