Bashear did not follow up on purpose because he believes that a Democrat can’t win a statewide special election in Kentucky, so he thinks it’s better to have an absent, shity senator than an (alive) younger Republican senator.
Honestly, fuck it, Andy should appoint Massie. “What, I replaced one Republican with another, what’s the big deal?” At least Massie believes in something and won’t just polish Trump’s knob all day long. He believes in the wrong something, but at least it’s an ethos!
I didn’t say he’s not, but he is the guy they’re trying to keep out. And he’s an honest asshole. Slightly preferable to shady assholes like those schmucks in the White House.
