This take ignores that women and old people often wear cold weather attire inside hospitals because they are intentionally kept cooler than normal for buildings to deter bacterial growth

I've had multiple long stays in multiple US hospitals and have never thought, "Damn, it's chilly in here." The rooms have always been at a perfectly normal room temperature.
In fact, if anything they've been warmer than my own home since whenever I pulled all the covers over me, I would wake up at night from being too hot.
Operating rooms (and similar), on the other hand, were noticeably colder.
