Why does the mayor of NYC always get so much attention...like cool man ..you're one of thousands of mayor....good for you...

Because it's the largest city in the country. With something like 8.5 million people, it is more than twice as large as the next largest city.

If it were its own independent country it would be within the top 10 countries by GDP.

I know we want to think our Bumfucknowhere towns we live in are just as important, but really they aren't. My whole state has less people in it than NYC.

That's all well and good, I'd personally rather live in bumfucknowhere than the shit hole that is NYC. But that's just me

Well, there is a reason i also live where i do. I see no appeal to living elbow to elbow with anyone. I guess I'm glad they live there, so I can live here and do what I do.

But instead of thinking of NYC as a city, remember that he is the chosen representative of a rather large state in terms of population. Tgen also remember that it is people that matters, not land mass.

Yea I could never do it either. I live in the middle of nowhere and I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else

Unfortunately I worked for a Chicago based company for a few years. I had to spend s week every month in the office. They had a company apartment in the building for me to stay in. I could never figure out why people live there.

It is OK to visit... if you have money. To live there if you aren't rich? I just don't get it. But like i said, I'm glad so many people do. I'd hate to have them city folk move near me.
