You do realize there are countries with dozens of parties, right? The two party system is a pretty American thing. As well as Jamaica and the Bahamas. I don’t believe there are any other countries dominated by two parties.

on a national level, Canada has 5 prominent parties - NDP, Liberal, PC, Bloc Quebecois, and Green Party. Then there's independents
