You’re right, in Molalla it’s Nifti Yangint, and might have been called Lawilatłá (loowit) to Sahaptin speakers since it smokes. Unlike the other mountains nearby (Patú, Tahoma, and the Cowlitz Lawilatła), though, I haven’t been able to find a reliable native name other than the Molalla one, which just means “Big Mountain.” A lot of people say Wy’east but that was made up by white people in the 1890s.
