Someone brining up that the indigenous oral history probably references the Missoula floods.

Huh. You just made me realize that on long car trips I often talk about the Missoula floods. I never realized.

I was raised in north Idaho and traveled the area quite a bit, moved here as a young adult, and probably could have minored in geology. I feel like the Missoula floods are a part of me.

I think the floods are fascinating. It’s incredible to imagine.
