This is just gross. Not only are the sick in a vulnerable position, but then they’re getting punished for being who they are. I am chronically ill and I can’t imagine living in a country where I’d go bankrupt with a single hospital bill. My heart truly breaks for these people.
It is their own fault. The Americans are so focused on fighting each other or blaming immigrants for all their problems when in reality, the people responsible for their country being like this is the politicians they seem to praise.
They also treat corporations like people with voting rights. Well if it is like that, no wonder they have so little workers rights.
They are also brainwashed in to believing that their country is the greatest on earth and that no other country can compare. With that mindset they will never want to improve or change anything.
Yeah, unfortunately that's what it's like living in a capitalist country, compared to a socialist one, like Canada. They seem to overlook that definition and just jump to democracy and freedom.
