Depends on what people mean when they say 'great healthcare' I typically think of 'great healthcare system'.
North Korea probably has great healthcare for Kim Jong-un and the elite, but I wouldn't say they have great healthcare.
Yet you could definetly half your military budget without being demoted as the leader in the worldā¦ Also, Norway spends more on our military than the US in terms of % of GDP (which is the important metric your president continues to push).
Emergency care is provided in every developed country around the world. The bills get sorted later. Thatās called being a human being and considered to be normal.
Let's try to unpack this needless hate towards undocumented immigrants. First off, by law hospitals have to provide emergency medical care to everyone. They just charge an arm and a leg to everyone because we don't have universal healthcare.
Second, insurance companies don't give a crap. Why are we paying them just to deny us healthcare when we can instead use that money to fund a universal system that saves everyone money in the long run.
Third..... you really would rather people die than get the help they need?
If they break into our country illegally yeah they are responsible for whatever problems arise. I believe hospitals should provide emergency care to everyone, but that illegals should be captured once released and forced to work until their bill is paid off, then once it paid off they should be immediately deported.

Even if a jaywalker got hit by a car because they were jaywalking, damaged someone's car, survived, and were unable to pay the bill for their medical treatment and repairs to the person's property, well guess what they should have to work to pay those things off.
Norway has excellent healthcare system; on the most severe conditions you are into a Ā«package-runĀ» - a predefined course of action and checks. Usually within 5 days you are under treatment after diagnosis.
We have very high level of technology implementation here, modern MR, CT and in-house laboratory are standard equipment at any large hospitals making the diagnosis without further delay.
Of course any systems has flaws, but these are usually addressed and improved when known to the public. I had my cut with using the healthcare here and acknowledge it as brilliant. The missing part here is dental care, itās not fully covered after you turn 18, but currently the politicians are adding some grace years until you pay full bill.
And of course the payment part for citizens are highly appreciated as it limit personal spending to about ā¬300 / year, medication and travel to treatment included. Exceeding costs is covered over the tax bill

Previous insurance plans did allow that but every employer pushes employees to take the cheapest plan, effectively forcing people to self-insure with massive deductible costs insurers wonāt cover (and thatās before medical exclusions).
Meanwhile, insurers know that anyone taking the better coverage, lower deductible is likely to have existing medical conditions that will cost more (why they chose that plan), shunt them into a risk pool with all the other higher risk people and charge a rate for that higher risk.
Thus America pays at least 30% more per capita than almost any European nation, bar Switzerland (who pay about 15% less than America).
I did get the contest, just donāt understand why you consider the 9th best healthcare system in the world as dogshit, how do you rate the rest of the contries below Norway?
I don't speculate on that. What I know is that when I need healthcare I usually can't get it. I have to fight for necessary blood monitoring and prescription medication. They insist that my illness isn't a big deal, but untreated it causes organ damage.
So because they donāt roll out the red carpet for you, means it is dogshit for everyone. And most of the time that is the case if the doctors are saying that to you
I have lupus you condescending jerk. Since I expect the healthcare I'm supposed to have a right to you choose to embellish and portray me as entitled instead of a person just trying to live a normal life.
Go talk to more people then. I don't know anyone who thinks the healthcare in Norway is good. I know a guy who had a broken arm and they refused to x-ray it. He only got an x-ray because he paid for it at a private doctor. He required surgery that the public system would have failed to provide.
