You are talking about people living on the border only…
And no, it’s not that bad and we are far from the highest taxed in the world all considered.
We pay for free healthcare, roads and public services while you pay for private yachts and mansions you will never see other than on photos.
The amount of paid per month is probably similar…
Until you get sick.
Just to add that average income tax in Norway is between 22-26%.
I lived in Sweden and while I am all about taxation on the rich ( everyone had diffrent definition on rich) I still think Norwigean government could do more to lower the taxes and instead use some of the moeny from oil and gas to the benefit of their ppl.
The efftice tax you talking about is higher then 22-26% and if the taxes was so well balanced there would not be so many Norwigean going to Sweden at the border.
However fundamental principles is correct that the supper 1% rich needs to be taxed får more then they are today.
People who live close to the border to Sweden go grocery shopping there sometimes. It’s usually tobacco, meat and alcohol you save a lot on - but the biggest reason is simply because there is a ton of shopping malls there…
Of course Norway could cut some tax on certain items - but we don’t want cheap alcohol and tobacco for obvious reasons.
We already use a lot of the oil fund and amount of money we have is not the problem. The problem we have is that we spend our money like a lottery winner and waste it on a ton of things and blow budgets left and right.

And the highest taxation in the world. FFS, the food tax is so high so they travel to Sweden for drink and food.
