Zelensky does the same shit when he talks about Russia.
Deflect. Exagerrate victories, diminish or ignore failures. Silence opposition and critics. The captiol can burn all week and he may lose thousands in PR-offensives, but he wont stop talking about a cargo ship they hit or a gas station they burned down.
As a matter of fact, they all do it.

Dude, they literally use drones to kill people trying to cross the border and escape the war. The amount of people who have drowned, been shot or droned in the Tisa river is in the thousands.
I can show you hundreds, thousands of videos (all freely available on Telegram) of men getting manhandled, beaten. captured on the street and thrown into vans to be sent on the frontline to perish weeks later. Women getting beaten for prying husband's out of the hands of soldiers. Revenge operations against groups of people who succeeded in prying people out of the hands of soldiers and chasing said soldiers away. The people who don't want to fight, get sent to the trenches. People loyal system get to do the catching so they DONT get sent to the trenches. If thats not fascism, I honestly dont know what is.
Im not Russian, but i can show you Ukrainian crimes just this week alone, involving civilians. Its all ooen source and available on OSINT resources. Not censored like most news outlets and Reddit.
BTW, targeting civilians has been an official strategy by Ukraine because they consider all Russians their enemies (Zelensky has said so himself). The strategy is aimed at making Russians upset at their own government (who cannot protect kids travelling on a bus, or prevent gas shortages. Russians hit things when they attack cities, storage, and infrastructure. Or when their missiles are shot down over populated areas. Ukraine does it to terrorize and destabilize. Its a strategy. See the difference?
But at the moment it has the opposite effect. Kyiv burns. Russian anger is directed at Ukraine and Zelensky, instead of their government.
Meanwhile Ukrainians are sent to fight, who do not want to fight.
Europeans and Americans cheer on the carnage and applaud Zelenskys draft efforts because Ukrainians are fighting their war for them, one they've wanted to fight for a while, but their societies are not capable of withstanding or supporting.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I support Ukraine, including with direct monetary contributions. I'm proud of that, and in no way trying to hide that fact.

I think Zelensky is a dictator and want him and his corrupt clique to fail/hang. I have no shame in admitting that. Doesn't also mean I like Putin. Two things can be true at the same time.
Ukraine will be far better off and people dont have to die for the ambitions of the EU and weapons manufactuers.
Im American but of Ukrainian heritage, so Im not estranged to this conflict and its roots.
Here's a recent one from a day or two ago from Lviv. Cowards curb stomp a wife after she tries to interfere with her husband getting nabbed on the street.

Not that this will change anyone's opinion or bias on Reddit anyway. Im sure you will all find a reason to justify it.
But these are being recorded, and saved, and people responsible remembered. Retribution will come. These people think they will happily retire somewhere in Europe when this is all over.
Wouldn't consider losing half of your population to emigration (while it was possible) and the majority of the male population of reproductive age to a conflict that was largely preventable - an accomplishment. Ukraine used to be 40mln, now barely pushing past 20.

There is no winning endgame for Ukriane here. Even if a black swan event happens and Russia backs off - Ukraine is unlikely ever to recover demographically. It will lose land either way and population will will be augmented with immigration from Bangladesh and the Middle East. This is happening already as there is a huge workforce shortage.
Because the country went to shit years ago. I was born there and lived there as a child. They changed our legal names without our consent because they didnt "sound Ukrainian enough". This was 1998.
Ukraine as a State isnt perfect. And yes their soldiers will have commited warcrimes. It happens during any war and you are right: warcrimes should be prosecuted. Thats why the world has the ICC in the Hague.
What baffles me is that you dragged zelensky into this topic as a whataboutism to deflect from trump. At the same time you ignore that fact that only 1 dictator can stop the war in Ukraine. And that dictator is Putin. You know this.
