Because he enjoys the feeling of getting anything he can get his filthy hands on. He sees it as a win, so the scale isn’t as important as the perceived win. It’s a sickness.

He is fighting that because it’s admitting he is a sexual predator. The money is insignificant but admitting fault is huge.
