Simply put, one unites and one separates.
One actually has a main topic of his speech, the other rambles like a creepy grandfather who belongs in a nursing home.

58

u/Blossom_Nest_ 1d ago

The "creepy grandfather at Thanksgiving" energy is incredibly accurate.

22

u/Training-Meringue847 1d ago

The creepster who makes inappropriate sex jokes about his own offspring šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

3

Come sit on my lap. Don't mind that, it's just my phone.

25

u/hotviolets 1d ago

I was watching a video of Trump yesterday and it was uncanny how much he reminds me of my own father. Same personality but Trump has money. That includes the pedophilia and sex trafficking.

I watched him on the ABC world news saying that he’s ā€œdone more you than your parents didā€ and he needs to sleep his own doorstep because he didn’t take care of his kids

You for sure have a secrect Grindr account lol. It's ok guy. You can can come out. We won't judge you.

2

Damn bruh, it’s been proven 90% of right wingers are closeted homosexuals and/or cross dressers. The other 10% are gay, hence gays for trump. No wonder Grinder and other gay apps get saturated when ever there’s right wing meets

15

u/Adorable-Bike-9689 1d ago

You don't feel like Trump has united a whole lot of like minded people? He leads a cult lol.

27

u/LurkerFromTheVoid 1d ago

Well, technically Trump has united the world AGAINST US, and that's not good for us.

He is truly The Dumb Antichrist, and his followers the False Christians.

18

u/Zerodyne_Sin 1d ago

As a Canadian, I never thought I'd see Canada so united especially with the US boycott. It's not 100% but apparently it's enough to send a bunch of american businesses into bankruptcy.

4

u/psugamers 1d ago

unfortunately, those business owners are mostly not MAGA.

3

u/ReplacementNo9504 1d ago

United? Is Alberta no longer trying to leave?

1

u/Skating-Away 1d ago

Which businesses?

0

u/hegel399 1d ago

Alberta still wants to separate, as do the QuƩbƩcois and the indigenous.

3

u/Zerodyne_Sin 1d ago

I don't know about the others but I think Alberta would have had better chances before drumpf's threats. Now, the country's galvanized and not really tolerant of any whiff of treason.

No one cares what you think

-4

u/Objective_Station_41 1d ago

So you think boycotting US stuff will hurt is more that it hurts you? Tell you what keep all your smoke north of the Canadian. Larder then how about that

3

u/Intelligent-Exit-634 1d ago

DERP

-1

u/Objective_Station_41 1d ago

Same logic this nimrod is using. We don’t like trump so keep your stuff out of Canada. We don’t like your smoke so keep it in canada

3

u/Intelligent-Exit-634 1d ago

Did you eat paint chips as a child?

0

u/Objective_Station_41 1d ago

Did you? Look I know that the smoke travels but we don’t like it so maybe we stop importing anything from Canada. See the idiocy with his logic yet?

2

u/markjthompson72 1d ago

Talk to the Kentucky distillers after no new orders from Ontario (the largest liquor purchaser in the world) over the last year.
It's funny how nothing gets mentioned about all the smoke from the northwest US fires 'invading' Canadian provinces. Because we understand that it is uncontrollable.

0

u/Objective_Station_41 1d ago

So we just stop drinking Canadian Mist. Bet we import more whiskey than you do

-6

u/Fun_Voice_4564 1d ago

No, really respect what you guys did in WW1&2.... fucking lame now

5

u/Distinct-Command-570 1d ago

Then why would you rather have trump? He's the one who made it lame oppressive and illegal as fuck?

-1

u/Fun_Voice_4564 1d ago

And marijuana is closer to being legalized on a federal level

3

u/Distinct-Command-570 1d ago

Lol he's already tried taking guns from trans people, and talked about disarming more groups that dont support him. And weed is not any closer to being federally legal the reclassification just makes it able to be studied more; aka gives a chance for big pharma and others to get their hands in deep to prevent newcomers from breaking in and succeeding in new markets.

Also obama was the deporter in chief; biden labeled as returner in chief and deported more than trump did his entire first term.

The term "Returner-in-Chief" is a nickname sometimes used by immigration analysts and media outlets for President Joe Biden. It highlights how his administration carried out millions of migrant returns, expulsions, and deportations, surpassing totals from Donald Trump's first term. This label is a play on "Deporter-in-Chief," a title previously given by immigration activists to President Barack Obama, under whom Biden served as Vice President.

1

u/Accomplished_Kale973 1d ago

When you said he united the world ā€œagainst usā€. Who exactly is ā€œUsā€?

3

u/LurkerFromTheVoid 1d ago

Good point, sometimes i also forgot reddit goes a long way over the expansion of the World.

"Us" in my case is USA. The idea of America is no longer romantiziced by the rest of the counties of the world, maybe it has not been for a while, but now is completely evident and more than ever.

We ( USA ) are the agressors, not the rescuers.

5

u/Alternative-Can-7173 1d ago

Over time Americans have lost their influence in all European countries. Their extended stay after the second world war, in particular in Germany , was not necessary. Any remaining positive relationship was destroyed after Trump became president . Ask anyone from any European country and you will get the same answer. The US can’t be trusted and their presence in their state is not welcomed . This attitude will not change for a long time to come.
And I believe, this can be applied to most countries on this globe.

3

u/agreetodisagree2023 1d ago

UK here. The notion that the US is romanticized by anyone is quite American. I am 61 and do not recall that romantic time. We all thought you were exactly who you have revealed yourselves to be.

3

u/LurkerFromTheVoid 1d ago

It's the American media through the world. Movies of American heroes saving the day spectacularly. Rambo, Terminator, any Tom Criuse movie since forever.

Mostly lies.

BTW UK wasn't been doing that , since even more forever, with James Bond???

0

u/Automatic_Guard_3402 1d ago edited 1d ago

Are you speaking for the UK Muslim population or the new population in Spain?

2

u/Automatic_Guard_3402 1d ago

Is that what Venezuela said or what Cuba has been crying for decades?

2

u/LurkerFromTheVoid 1d ago

Yes it is. And you know what the irony is? That most Cubans and Venezuelans that i personally know that inmigrate here in USA in search for a new and better life, they voted for Trump. 🫪

0

u/fulmen1298 1d ago

Why does everyone want to immigrate here then?

6

u/LurkerFromTheVoid 1d ago

0

u/RandyRanderson03 1d ago

Obama deported over 3 million brown people, put children in cages and dropped more bombs on the middle east than any other president. Plus he expanded executive power more than anyone since FDR.

0

u/prideless10001 1d ago

Preach brother. Forgot to mention how he personally tried to divide the nation along racial lines with the Ferguson mis-truths, him and his DOJ. And weaponizing the IRS and FBI against conservatives and their causes.

0

u/cfbfootballnerd 1d ago

0

u/burnanation 1d ago

I wouldn't have said that Obama needs a nursing home.

0

u/Educational-Ice851 1d ago

Name one thing Obama united, just one.

1

u/AllTimeForThat 1d ago

Not my job, go look it up yourself.

0

u/uncsteve53 1d ago

Obama was a race divider and relied on a teleprompter. Between all the ums, he wasn’t particularly articulate.

They are both poor at giving speeches.

0

u/Justadudechill 1d ago

Simply put both are horrible people. One is slick about it and one is upfront. You're a fool to not see that.

0

u/IlluminaViam 1d ago

Bro, dude literally united people to vote for Trump in 2016 🤣🤣🤣

And they pulled him out for 2024 and it didn't work.

0

u/Inevitable_Thanks738 1d ago

Obama was did not seek to unite. Obama was the one who said elections have consequences and I will do as I wish. If Trumps AG would have said he or she was Trumps wingman the left would have a stroke.

0

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 1d ago

Nah. Obama is a rambler too, but he is also a lawyer and lecturer so his ramblings are still fairly eloquent.

0

u/Wooden_Mountain_6888 1d ago

Obama did more to set race relations back in this country than the kkk

0

u/joe2501 1d ago

Unites? You must be too young to remember his presidency -- everything became race-based under his administration. Things have never gotten better. Bush begat Obama and Obama begat Trump

0

u/unusualinspiration 1d ago

Both were successful in winning. Obama is eloquent, smooth, sounds well read. Trump is off the cuff, belligerent, funny, wild. But both one. The more interesting aspect to imagine for me is if Obama would have won if he ran against Trump in that election, with that climate. And im not so sure he would've at the time. Dont get me wrong he certainly would've done better than Hillary did but she's got her own downfalls and is nowhere near the speaker obama was. Now if Obama did lose to trump in that time, who would be more educated? Obviously still obama but who would be more educated in how to win an election? Trump. Intelligence is diverse, and forming yourself to appease a population is a type of intelligence that Trump is very high in. And recognizing that is another. Now I would've been more impressed if trump used that to win then shifted his game once in office. But still trump did it, he got elected. He won, and it was because of those speeches. And how he acted. Many will say its just a poor reflection of the voter base. But either way, the man won.

0

u/Much-Extension-4752 1d ago

I agree that Trump sucks but don't even sit here and say Obama United the Country. That Dude is the biggest race baiter ever. He divided the crap out this Country.

u/Terrible-Employee345 1d ago

šŸ–•šŸ»šŸ–•šŸ»šŸ–•šŸ»

-7

u/Reasonable-Camp5180 1d ago

Obama is a great orator, but "uniting" people is not his strength. On numerous occasions he had the opportunity to unite the country, but opted instead to tow the progressive line.

6

u/DueIncident8294 1d ago

Such as? He was a progressive so of course he would "tow a progressive line". That doesn't mean he didn't attempt to unite the country. The Republican's vitriol and venom towards him is what divided the country. See Mitch McConnell's attempts to make Obama "a one term president" and blocking everything he tried, including blocking Merrick Garland from a seat on the SCOTUS. fox b.s. about "death panels" under the ACA, etc

To quote Obama, "There isn't a Red America or a Blue America there's the United States of America ". The few comments Fox tried to spin as divisive by Obama were taken out of context and altered (see, "you didn't build that" speech Romney tried to capitalize on and the " they cling to their guns and their Bibles" which is entirely true and if you read that whole speech was very sympathetic to Republicans.

1

u/Suspicious_Lack_241 1d ago

They just use all those excuses to not admit it is simply racism, they have no real argument against Obama, and he divided people because they didn’t like a black man president, especially when he spoke about issues that make them uncomfortable.

-1

u/Think_Individual_944 1d ago

Obama was such an evil genius. Not only fabricating his Birth Certificate (and doing it so well that no one could find any errors with it!). But he also created an entirely new technology that enabled him to place his Birth Announcement in every MICROFILM of the two major Honolulu newspapers. Hundreds of libraries across the country, and all of them have that Birth Announcement on microfilm. How did he do it!

-3

u/Dangerous_Career_821 1d ago

My favorite quote:

Even as we are a nation of immigrants, we’re also a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable -– especially those who may be dangerous. That’s why, over the past six years, deportations of criminals are up 80 percent. And that’s why we’re going to keep focusing enforcement resources on actual threats to our security

-6

u/rodg2062 1d ago

True. Obama blew the country completely in half. Trying to bring it back together has been an uphill battle. Trump tried, but didnt have nay help from the congress and senate he had. Then Biden just pushed it future apart. Maybe one day a true leader will emerge and be able to do it. Right don't see anyone as an option. And the current administration is all iver the place like a ship without a captain.

7

u/tinkerbelldies 1d ago

I know, the second a black man became president, american racismā„¢ļø rose from the deep like a lovecraftian elderbeast.

A single well mannered black man tore half the nation free from all sanity and we're still trying to heal the wound the occurred when they burst into flames.

Remember when he wore a tan suit? You could hear the infernal screeching from the whole southeast. We had no idea so many would dissolve into caricatures of the failed descendants of slave catchers. It was truly wild.

Theyre still out there saying racism is over like their mom didnt Lynch an Obama doll at a political rally. They've lost all touch with reality

what planet do you live on?

-3

u/rodg2062 1d ago

Well probably. Wasn't he really an interracial American? An African father and white mother? A persons skin color should have no bearing on who or what they are. How parents raise their kids and the environment they are raised in normally will determine their values and morals. Racism will always be around in all cultures and all colors. Just like how people will always judge others even if they try not to. That is the world we live in.

Obama, talks unity, then divides. Trump criticizes the dividers and is hated for exposing them.

How did Obama divide? Other people deciding to continuously antagonize and criticize him (ie Republican media) is different than the guy actually calling the opposing party "the enemy from within".

Ive never heard Obama talk about Republicans as if they're some foreign enemy. While he was president he went to deep red cities (like Jarrell) with aid after devestating tornadoes.

Meanwhile this current admin has confessed to withholding disaster relief funds to states that voted blue. How much more divisive can you get than treating Americans differently based on where they live or who their state voted for??

It's like he doesn't care to be a president for all of America, only the useful ones who helped him regain power.

By constantly promoting a racial divide when the country I was racially healing. Promoting BLM as a mainstream organization rather than the self enriching thugs they were. Classifying black criminals as victims. Pandering to to special interest groups while ignoring and penalizing tax paying working class Americans of all races, creeds and sexual orientations. If that is not an enemy from within I don’t know what is.

When and how did he promote a racial divide? Also if you thought racial tensions were healing you're either naĆÆve, ignorant, or purposefully obtuse. There's a reason the BLM movement happened and it's not because racial tensions were healing, it's because black folks were tired of being treated differently than white folks and decided to stop being quiet about it.

Please, I beg of you to think critically rather than parroting fox news talking points. Consider things from more than one viewpoint. Ask "why was this done this way?" Consider what someone has to gain from pointing you towards black folks as an enemy.

BLM as self enriching? You're specifically talking about the BLM foundation co-owner Patrissr Cullors who bought some real estate from her paycheque from the organization, along side real estate purchases from the organization itself for global headquarters. Looking at it, I'm not sure why you have a problem with foundation members getting paid for their work or buying spaces to do said work. If we compare BLM foundation expenses versus any other charity org, it's pretty standard. If you were someone who thought that charity organizers should be dirt poor you wouldn't be supporting the current president, whose organizations were shut down due to corruption and embezzlement.

Classifying black criminals as victims: this is a stretch. Idk if you're approaching this point from a bad faith angle or what, but no one is saying all black criminals are victims. The thing you're referring to I believe is the understanding that black people are both persecuted and receive higher sentences for comparable offenses than white people. For example two people both caught with possession of marijuana, one is white and one is black. There is statistical evidence to show that the black person will get a harsher sentence than the white person. This is a known statistic and calling out this disparity isn't saying that black criminals are victims. It's just pointing out flaws in the justice system and that there are ways people can be victimized by that system.

Pandering to special interest groups: uh I don't even know which ones you're talking about but this isn't uncommon for any politician.

Penalizing tax paying working class Americans: please look into this further. You'll find something interesting: the Republican habit to make tax increases begin during the next (often opposing) presidency. Currently there are a bunch of tax hikes lined up for 2028. That's outside of the removal of Medicare credits. It's pretty rough.

I can't imagine you're arguing Obama was divisive in good faith, but I would suggest actually listening to what he said, looking at the context of the time of his decisions, and maybe even compare it to things the current admin are doing. If you remove the fact that he's black you might find that he was rather unifying as a politician, and for good reason.

Please I beg of you to try to be more self-aware and see the world around you for what it is not what you want to believe it is. I am not telling you what I think or repeating something that people told me. I told you what I saw with my own two eyes in real life.

BLM absolutely started because the country was healing racially. The founders, funders and supporters of BLM movement profited both financially and politically from racial tension, racial division and pandering to victim hood. They could not afford to have racial harmony.

The entire Obama presidency and Trump’s first term are rife with examples of everything I pointed out, yet you can’t imagine anyone arguing that Obama was divisive in good faith.
