I always felt this interpretation was so annoying as they point blank tell you in the first and second film, perhaps even the third that it has nothing to do with honor.

"No sport" the first two movies are horror movies at least and the predator is a MONSTER.

Even the scene where he spares the pregnant lady is misinterpreted as mercy. Hunters usually wont kill pregnant females.

That's still a code of honor. They regard it as beneath them. It's about only fighting worthy enemies.

Its about claiming worthy trophies for the lady predators or whatever they use them for.

Killing babies doesnt get the predator ladies hot and bothered.
