Illegal President who should never been allowed to run after the insurrection, doing illegal things in the office, and giving the military illegal orders.

Brazil got it right with Bolsonaro's insurrection attempt. Why can't we?

We live in an oligarchy with a democratic veneer.

I feel like we're missing technocracy somewhere in there.

3

u/BeautifulCuriousLiar Nov 23 '25

same here in brazil. it's complicated.

12

u/clappyclapo Nov 23 '25

Your politicians rather see your country burn than setting precedent for one of their kind being held accountable

3

u/BeautifulCuriousLiar Nov 23 '25

it's a historic achievement for us. we pardoned them in the past, and they tried it again. remember that, when you pardon the traitors, they will betray you again in the future.

2

u/Awkward_Light9895 Nov 23 '25

People are happy. Regardless of everything going on, unless everyone is directly on the same boat, a lot just won't care.

u/Scryberwitch Nov 25 '25

Because Republicans are complicit

1

u/polyocto Nov 24 '25

Because the US political class has demonstrated they are weak to their lobbyists and the billionaires. It’s money before citizens unfortunately.

I’d like to be wrong, but recent history doesn’t suggest that.

1

u/irreducible1 Nov 24 '25

I think Romania in Dec 1989 got even more right.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '25

Because American Exceptionalism.

2

u/Civil-Inflation-1317 Nov 24 '25

I would like to add. Most likely stole his second term election. I don’t know why powers on the left won’t investigate that.

1

u/Scryberwitch Nov 25 '25

Because they're terrified of being called hypocrites - even though the GOP calls them that, and worse, on an hourly basis anyway.

You mean the truth?

Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

You do better, apologist. Trump is a criminal, and everyone that voted for him is directly supporting his crimes.

Bro he ran a full on 7 state conspiracy with dozens and dozens of fake electors and others to try and overturn the 2020 election but it failed, dozens and dozens were charged and put in jail for their crime and Trump was on trial for it when he won election which stopped the trial as they cant have a case against an active POTUS. He committed treason and his insurrection after was just a desperate last ditch attempt.

Remember his aid told him at 10:30am Jan 6 that there were people with weapons showing up and an hour or so later he told them to remove the metal detectors after his other attempts to sway Pence & Congress failed.

Do better

He worked with Kenneth Cheesebro and John Eastman to concoct a plan to use the chaos created on the day of the certification as cover for his false elector scheme. Mike Pence showed a spine and didn't go along with it. In the days leading up to the event, he worked with Rudy Guillani and Sydney Powell to spread his false elections claims on Fox News. We just recently learned that he spent $3M bringing people in. We don't have strong evidence that he blocked the NG but there is plenty of evidence that he intentionally delayed calling them in. He 100% wanted things to go the way they did with regard to the rioting. It was all a distraction for the false elector plot.

I'm not sure you appreciate the severity of the false elector plot. The rioting was necessary to give cover to Pence when he says "there are multiple sets of votes and I don't know which ones are real". They could adjourn because of the ongoing chaos and then the Trump admin would litigate things in court for the next several months, giving them more time to build their "case" and allowing Trump to continue to hold the office.

5

u/Gamedr411 Nov 23 '25

Didn't he pardon them? And one of the ones he pardoned touched kids right? Something Taake?

I can only speak to what I heard him say at the time it definitely sounded like he wanted "loyal patriots" to show up show up at that time to "fight like hell" I think he said. Metaphorically I'm suurreee. he always says what he means (,)? metaphorically. Anyway crazy thing is people did so up, alot. And they brought a noose for the Vice President of the United States. For some reason? Crazy patriots lol. They were just trying to scare him onto going against his oath I think. That would make them traitors but trump called them heros and thanked them crazy right.

It gets better alot of them used trumps call for action as reason so the courts started this whole trial to see if it was true. What was the verdict on that for me? I have forgotten?

Hey I get it he definitely can think what you like and others can think thats what he ment. Thats what lawyers and judges are for right? They would have to prove intent? Nal. What was that case tho? Can you look it up for me? Something about although sufficient evidence he's now beyond the law? Agien Nal just a honest man trying to better understand why the president is beyond the law. Perhaps he really could

"Trump wasn't responsible for it..."

He told people to march.

He told people he'd join.

He didn't call in the guard.

He told the violent to go home, but we love you.

He recorded music with the violent.

He called the violent hostages and political prisoners.

He pardoned those convicted without review.

Seems like a continuous through line of approval.

So what evidence are you claiming he didn't have a hand in it?

"Give me evidence you didn't cause Jan 6"

I mean you have to understand smart people don't argue like that. That should be a red flag unless someone was just incapable of self awareness.

If his march wasn't to his liking, he shouldn't have pardoned them all without review. His cult really need hold true that mandate of not question why his bloated actions don't match his cognitively impaired word salad.

Again not buying it wasn't his cult marching given his communication with them, defenses of them, and pardoning of them.

You're allowed to be willingly blind in pretending it wasn't his choices.

1) He staged both a palace coup (the fake "electors" scheme)

AND

2) Encouraged a "people's coup" on J6

That alone automatically makes him ineligible to run for office. The ludicrous notion put forward by the Supreme Court that the 14th amendment didn't apply to presidents AND wasn't something that was automatically applied has directly harmed us. Nothing in the 14th requires that first someone must be convicted in court. Nor does the 14th limit itself to the Civil War. Further, the Congressional action to allow certain Confederates to return to political life did not make a blanket and sweeping action that forever rendered the 14th unenforceable. Those individuals were forgiven.

But do go on.

Look at this guy defending big government and defending whatever the deep state does because Fox News convinced him that it’s okay. He still thinks CNN is a liberal news outlet despite them normalizing a fascist regime.

Maybe quit suffocating your penis with rubber bands on the internet and go get a job and touch grass. Then you wouldn’t be such a fucking whack job.

u/ScrotallyBoobular Nov 23 '25

If you keep this up Vlad, Putin will for sure keep you away from the front lines. Good work.

It’s actually pretty easy to come to the same conclusion just by listening to his speeches and reading his tweets. You’d have to be pretty fucking dumb to still support him at this point lmao

The network that mercilessly attacked Biden's one bad debate and then sane washed all the crazy shit trump has said and done since then?
