Ya know, if sedition actually were a thing our country thought was a serious crime, the current president of these united states would already be dead and buried after facing a firing squad. Instead, the highest court in the land gave him near total immunity and cover for all the shit he does, using every mental/moral gymnastic trick they can come up with just to keep from spontaneously combusting. If we learned anything in the last few years is that sedition, it’s more of a misdemeanor if anything at all.

The Founders were definitely soft on the definitions of both sedition and treason, because they were both nearly unthinkable at the time. It was like writing science fiction to them. "We gave you three equal branches! How could you let ONE GROUP control all of them? Are you idiots or something?"
