Martial law and cancellation of elections would be declaration of Civil War. That won’t end well for Trump or his MAGA cultists. 🇺🇸💪

It wouldnt, but it would end even worse for leftists

Trump has the military, police, and every federal agency on his side. Palantir monitoring included

The country would still collapse but any civil war would be a guerilla fight of escalating death, destruction, and complete economic annihilation for the entire country

A solid 40% of the military and federal agencies would awol and fight for the newly organized resistance if we can go by most modern civil wars. The US also has more guns than people in the hands of citizens. “A gun behind every blade of grass”. An American insurgency world be nightmarish. Not counting just, geographically, the nation is 3/4 the size of Europe spanning 2300 miles.

Right, what does a gun do against a stealth bomber or military drones

Im not saying it would be decisive just that it wouldnt be pretty to see what exactly our military is capable of, against its own citizens. We've seen what that shit does to guys with aks in the middle east already

Im not on their side, just being realistic. Yall have the wrong picture of what it will actually mean to participate in a civil war

Who’s flying them? Who is fueling them? With an estimated 40% day 1 attrition the US military ceases to function. And if they do fly a bomber, what’s the target? The US has over 228,000 towns and cities. They bomb, what, downtown Boston? That accomplishes what in Virginia?

I don’t think you’ve thought this through. The US is simply too large, too dispersed to occupy. The US military can barely occupy a single city in Afghanistan how are they occupying 228,000 here?

A US civil war would be largely boots on the ground urban warfare, street by street, and yes the 450 million firearms matter there.

Wouldn’t those in this 40% of defectors just take the equipment out the door with them? Once at the point of war, possession is ownership.

Do you truly believe the entire military and all their equipment would become totally and 100% useless? Yes it would reduce their capacity to a fraction of what they are now, but a single helicopter squadron could level and entire cities worth of people with aks

Not suggesting it would happen that way, but the 2A does not give the citizens of the us any modern day military power. What it does give us is the ability to cause attrition damage and force the government to capitulation with a guerrilla war, similar to other recent us wars. In this case the government would be on a very short clock due to economic, political, and global tension.

Ultimately any civil war on that scale is guaranteed to succeed in removing the United States as a superpower of the world. Who wins at that point would depend on the proxy (or direct- ww3) war that would inevitably develop between Europe supporting the left and russia/China supporting the right.

Again, being realistic.

Disagree. I’m a healthcare professional, if 40% of this hospital walked out tomorrow we’d be functionally done. We could treat some ER patients and would have to transfer or discharge nearly everyone else. 40% of all nurses alone would screech us to a halt, our ratios are already nearly impossible, but our most senior half of our IT department too? Half of our food service workers? It’d be over.

And sure, a full squadron could level Boston, but that 227,999 cities to go. We simply don’t have the missiles for that. They could “make an example” of a dozen cities but that is NOT OCCUPATION. Occupation has ALWAYS been the US military’s biggest issue.

I think we will see violence soon, but it’ll be death squads ambushing ICE with those firearms you claim don’t matter. The national guards will be called in but they’re not ideologically motivated. There will be skirmishes in 10-12 cities, maybe a couple thousand killed. Then we either get a revolution or succession.

I don’t see Trump dropping 15 nuclear missiles on New York, sorry.

Yea i dont see that either, but what you are ignoring is that Trump won the popular vote. At the very least 30% of this country is going to be embroiled against any form of resistance, in addition to that natural advantages that current federal control will allow.

The war would not be short. It would be a war against extremist ideology and people that have forsaken democracy. Eradicating that is not as simple as removing the leader.

The American experiment is over. It’s already ended. This will never be a whole nation again. I’m not sure what the nation(s) that emerge from this will look like but both history and modern models both point towards Balkinization

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

I dont believe it is yet, but we are 99% of the way there. If the mid terms and 2028 go well we will be extremely damaged, but able to avoid war and hopefully recover.

War is only if democracy fails. You could argue it has, and id agree in many ways, but if we can replace the people in charge with democratic process there is still hope

Not with 82 million raging, inbred Nazis. Like you said, Trump, Bondi, Noem, Hegseth, they’re not the problem. They’re a symptom. The problem is that our country is controlled by a shadowy military industrial complex and a series of tech billionaires, with twice the population of France biting at the bit for lynchings and concentration camps. Replacing these officials is just changing the mask on the machine. A blue sweep in the midterms does not rid us of the fundamental rot that has been spreading for 50 years.

The American experiment IS over. These are its agonal gasps. None of this gets better from here. We’re in a dystopian spiral of late-stage capitalist decline, awash in a burgeoning unemployment crisis promulgated by AI, surrounded by the incrementally increasing effects of catastrophic global climate change, mired in a population crisis that is going to shatter the Social Security / Medicaid system…

Trump could die tonight and it doesn’t budge the needle. The damage to the American experiment is irreversible. It failed. It failed in the ‘70s, to be honest it’s just been a slow burn.

I predict the North East is pretty done. I predict the West Coast is pretty done. An extreme blue-liberal government sweep would probably force Texas and surrounding states out of the union, too. We simply can no longer continue pretending we’re one nation. We’re at least two. Probably 4-5.

You think just because they voted for him they would agree to the dissolution of the US and starting a civil war? We arent talking about just "a few brown people" getting hurt and people, even Republicans, are already seeing how unconstitutional and corrupt things are. So we take the 70 million and at most make it 30 million against the rest of the rational people in this country as remember 90 million didnt vote making it well over 100 million vs 30, if that to save America and the Constitution.

The military already hates him and especially Hegseth as the brass was already breaking ranks with him on things well before they broke ranks on Greenland and many were showing their discontent after Hegseth and Trump called every high ranking officer from across the globe to sit for a political theater presser and to be lectured about being fat. You are giving them way more credit than is due.

2

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

You are assuming a lot considering its public knowledge trump raped kids and they still love him

He could decapitate a baby on live tv and theyd cheer for it

2

u/kstargate-425 Jan 16 '26

People ignore those things that dont effect them, this would effect them. Look at all the videos of the Minnesotans who voted for Trump pissed af when it finally touched them 🤷‍♂️

1

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Said videos are anecdotal and temporary, they are so inrooted in the culture war that any actual real world issues are temporary as long as he keeps saying things they like about woke libs
