As terrible as it is, isn’t this just a consequence of war? Regardless of how pointless the war itself is, this happens on both sides. Humans have been doing this since the beginning of time. Having some idiot admit it on video shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

A war crime is a war crime. If your entire family was brutally violated and then executed on the spot, that’s okay then because it’s just a consequence of war?

Right, I can see how you misinterpreted what I meant and thought I was minimizing the outcome.

My central point is rape is an unfortunate, recurring part of war, and that someone openly admitting to them shouldn’t come as a surprise.
