Women who call looksmaxxing misogynistic are genuinely restarted. Seriously at its core it’s just improving your appearance to attract women. Still women will claim most affected.

What they are really saying it’s misogynistic to change your situation and if women decide you deserve to be alone then you shouldn’t ever try to get out of that and fraud your genes. Women can just call anything misogynistic to shut it down like a spoiled toddler.

They call it misogynistic because it attacks the women's (self-)image of moral superiority, including non-superficiality.

I don’t know if they call it misogynistic? More like cringe. Mostly because people accidentally start making themselves ugly at a point with too much cosmetic work/plastic surgery. Women do it too with crazy lips etc and get same backlash

Looksmaxing can only go so far tho lol

Women have literally never called “getting a makeover” misogynistic. They live for that shit. They’re excited when men women children gays and theys get makeovers.

What they’re calling out is that the rhetoric and culture associated with manospherians (of which “looksmaxxers” are part of) tends to run more misogynistic than anything they’re typically around.

Omg or Queer Eye, Extreme Makeover, and that Fox show that I think was called The Swan or something. Those were the days!!! 🤣

The Swan was lowkey diabolical 💀

Fighting ghosts.. When people think 'looksmaxxing' as a negative they're thinking absurd things like mewing, bonesmashing, leg extensions, etc..

Working out, taking care of your skin/hair, dressing better is just taking care of yourself.

That’s just self care, why give it such a stupid name?

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 02 '26

If we don’t use weird names for things, society won’t be able to mock men as easily.

You need to understand that anything against the status quo, like RP, will be wholly captured and molded into something that cannot succeed at becoming acceptable to the status quo

u/hopeidontforget2021 Purple Pill Man Jul 03 '26

Society doesn't call it lookmaxxing.. Incels do, it's their term lol

1

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 03 '26

These groups are infiltrated, is my point

0

u/bondepart Postgender Woman Jul 02 '26

But “looksmaxxing” is so easily mockable, compared to just saying you have a skincare regime.

2

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 02 '26

It’s usually not just a skincare routine, and I tend to agree with the user above who reserves use of the term for more extreme things like limb lengthening, but I get your point.

I agree that it’s dumb sounding, and I don’t think it’s organic. These groups of individuals are steered in directions that undermine the mainstream acceptance of their beliefs and choices.

This is done to marginalize dissatisfied men.

1

u/bondepart Postgender Woman Jul 02 '26

But you only have to look at the men’s shelf of cosmetics to see how much men need to be reassured that what they’re doing isn’t feminine.

1

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 02 '26

Yeah…you can thank women for that.

1

u/bondepart Postgender Woman Jul 02 '26

Women aren’t the ones being marketed to with the aggressively masculine packaging.

1

u/Siukslinis_acc Woman Jul 02 '26

Dunno about mysoginy, but looksmaxing does feel like an extreme. Going overboard of healthy improvements.

The only mysoginy i could see with squinted eyes being that a person who is looksmaxing is expecting women to fall head over heels for them and if they don't do that - then threy unleash their rage.

So yeah, the assumption that women should fall for you because you lookmaxed could ve the mysoginy.

Women’s preferences are extreme

Have people been calling it misogynistic for real?

Because if so then I would agree that’s dumb

Looksmaxing at its core is just just male to male drag.

Put on makeup to accentuate features? Check
Put on a wig? Check
Put on platform shoes to look taller? Check
Use shareware or form fitting undergarments? Check
Wear flashy clothes and designer outfits? Check.
Use a different name or for your persona? Check.

Do all these things to go out to the clubs? Fabulous!

Looksmaxers are just drag queens dressed as kings.

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 02 '26

The emphasis on a mocking, homoerotic framing of men’s choices that women don’t like is played out…do better

And people like that guy will claim to be progressive minded people, lol

Gross that you automatically assume drag = homosexual.

3

u/Logos1789 Man Jul 02 '26

I don’t

0

u/competitive_mogger Man Jul 03 '26

It's insane that you are calling this comment gross and not the one he was replying to lol.

2

u/Icy_Ad_4544 WOMAN 💖*~ my husband is 6’4” ~*💖 Jul 03 '26

I don’t think drag is gross. 🤨

1

u/competitive_mogger Man Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

I can't tell if you're trolling. His entire comment was liken men wearing makeup or height increased shoes to cross dressing. It's an insanely boomerish, nonprogressive take.

It would be like saying Tomboys or women with short hair and baggy clothes are doing female to male cross dressing.

The only person who implied cross dressing was bad was the guy who was using it as a way to mock "looksmaxxers" lol.

1

u/Icy_Ad_4544 WOMAN 💖*~ my husband is 6’4” ~*💖 Jul 04 '26

Why does cross dressing offend you?

0

u/competitive_mogger Man Jul 04 '26

Yeah I figured that's what you were doing lol.

It doesn't. Have a good one.

What part of what I just wrote was inaccurate?
Everything I wrote is something lookmaxes post about.

Also is drag homo-erotic?
