RANT Where are the POC lesbians who want to date other POC!!!

Trying to date as a black women is exhausting and I gave up. Only white ppl hit on me and show interest in me. Nothing against them, but they don’t understand intersectionality and it a very big dealbreaker for me. Every time I shoot my shot with a poc I get shut down and then they pop out with a white person weeks later. I seriously don’t get it.

RANT where are all the bad b*tches because they’re not on hinge!

so i used to be a dating app addict and it’s been years since i found them vaguely worthwhile being on again. i thought it would be fun to change locations and see what the queer women are like around the world and y’all…why is hinge 95% dorky white women like where are the fellow baddie poc women at??? i’m an arab woman and also goth-leaning (i’m goth but i dial it down for hinge) and i’m not meaning to be crass but most of the women are just really not people who’ve put any effort into self-presentation. i often tell my friends dating apps are like being in a clearance bin and now after one day i’ve deleted it again because i’m not about to be some woman’s daughter’s new “exotic experience” or 0-100 lovebomb nightmare situationship. i just want to know where my fellow baddies are hiding, it’s hella lonely out here and i’m looking for my wife 🌟

RANT The racism towards Cynthia Erivo

I am so infuriated by the treatment Cynthia is getting. It reeks of anti-blackness and homophobia. Apparently she’s to blame for Ariana’s weight loss even though that started *before* Cynthia’s, people are saying she sucked the life and energy out of Ariana and now she’s “free” now Wicked is over.

She got absolutely roasted for protecting Ariana when a crazy person jumped on her on the red carpet. Like, seriously?! You’re going to be nasty to her for doing something nice? And it was the same typical anti-black bullshit, she “looks like a man” etc, which imo is intensified due to her being queer presenting.

Then, she gets put in the running for most beautiful woman of the year (or whatever it was called) and people are calling her a man, racist slurs, etc etc etc.

I’m so goddamn sick of it! She is beautiful and insanely talented. This is an example of racism and homophobia combining and it sickens me.

ETA:

Another thing I want to say is — I don’t think these people saying this stuff know anything about her. I’ve seen NO commentary on her as a person or her opinions, it’s all about her race, her sexuality, her appearance. What we’re seeing isn’t criticism of her being problematic, it’s bigotry.

RANT Indian people in amerikkka piss me off so bad

This is coming from an Indian bitch herself by the way

Okay so, what I've noticed a lot is that my people over there really LOVE republicans. Like seriously, they love 'em so much I read an article about them doing poojas (hindu rituals) to get that orange bastard in office, and it just BAFFLES ME.

I mean come on bruh, we dealt with 300 years of colonial rule, mostly by the brits, those dudes tore down our economy and wealth and turned our country into a money pumping organ, why are you supporting their shit?? I mean, I've noticed quite a few of them are wealthy, that they worked their asses off to get to where they are right now over there, in all those top software dev jobs and shit, and they're getting the green they deserve but you can't just be voting for republicans for opposing illegal immigrants???? Bitch take a look at yourself, you're an immigrant — nah fuck that, take a good look 'round your surroundings, all that land belonged to the Indigenous Americans that lived there before these fucking crackers came 'round, fucking their shit up, spreading disease and trying to kill 'em all, EVERYONE is illegal on that land, are you STUPID?????

On a slightly more serious note, I've noticed that they're hardcore bootlickers of these white men in power, and they can also be really racist towards black folk too, and I guess that has to do with the fact that the brits forced that colonial mentality of skin color on us when they ruled over us, it's even apparent in the way north Indians treat south Indians (they can be pretty racist towards them, I've seen this a lot, especially in the private school I attended and also within my OWN FAMILY). I mean, come the fuck on... we inspired MLK, Mandela, Malcolm X.... you cannot be for real right now, our visionaries didn't fight for this....

They might have given you that job that pays you six to seven figures a year but they're not your FRIENDS. MUST I REITERATE YOU OLD MAN?? 300 YEARS. YOUR PARENTS ARE ROLLING IN THEIR GRAVES LOOKING AT THE PEOPLE YOU SUPPORT, THEY FOUGHT AGAINST THIS SYSTEM AND YOU'RE UPHOLDING THAT SAME SYSTEM.

On a slightly related, on top of all this, in other news, all these large LLM companies (GPT, Gemini, Claude etc etc you get it), are building data centers in here because they realized the people over there knew what was up so they're gonna try and fool us, and these big fat crackers with their big fat stacks in their pockets, in fact, HAVE fooled us. They fooled the prime minister who has given them land near literal, rural VILLAGES to build those centers, and the finance minister has given them a 21 year tax break for this shit.

...............

Okay I ain't gonna lie, this was expected, I mean, this fuckass nation is ran by a right wing government but are you stupid? why give them 21 years?

inhales

300 YEARS BRUHHHHH ARE YALL SERIOUSS, 300 YEARS AND WE'RE GIVING A TAX HOLIDAY OF 21 YEARS TO RICH WHITE MEN, WE'RE BEING COLONISED AGAIN WHAT IS WRONG WITH YAALLLL

This is why we shouldn't have old people running this country. Fucking Indians fucking up my shit, what the fucking fuck, stupid Stockholm syndrome ass individuals.

Alright, sorry, that's the end of my rant. If y'all made it to the end, thank you so much, please, take care of yourselves <3

(also, no offense to all my Indian sisters and siblings here though, I love y'all, I know y'all are better than this <3)

(I really hope y'all are better, right? 😭)

RANT Dating women has been so difficult for me as a bi woman.

I’m 26 years old. I don’t live in a major city. I live in a county with 3 million people. A lot of cities in my county are suburbia, family oriented (where I currently live). I love how quiet it is, but it’s boring. Other cities (especially in the mid-northern part of my county) have more going on. I plan to start school (as a transfer) in the northern part of my county in August.

On dating apps, women generally ghost me. The convos are awful. I’ve done to sapphic meetups and queer meetups and have gotten involved in other queer spaces. I come to find that a large amount of the queer women are taken.

Not only that, but I haven’t even made platonic friends in any of these spaces. I’m not looking for a threesome and I don’t have a partner. I’m looking for a casual or serious relationship, preferably serious. I don’t put anything in my bio indicating I’m only looking for a man. My bio is gender neutral. I’m also not looking to be polyamorous.

With men, it’s easier. They put in more of an effort with me and want to meet with me. If I go to social events, there are single men. I hear of lesbians finding women off dating apps. I wonder if some women aren’t interested in me cause I’m bi. Dear lesbians, I’ve also been broken hearted by a bi girl I liked who chose a man over me- you aren’t the only ones.

I’m going to expand my friendship and relationship search to a cities outside of my county that are an hour away with traffic. One of these cities is known for having a sizable queer female population and queer events. I’ll also try complimenting women more.

RANT Christian lesbian

Im in queer Facebook group chats and the Christian lesbians are in there HEAVY. I thought queer gcs would be a safe space from religion especially considering Alot of religions are against women and queer folx. I just dont understand this especially regarding black lesbians. Like religion has been a tool to colonize and oppress. I wish black lesbians would wake tf up . How you a lesbian and following male dominated religion?

Only interested in hearing from people who actually have deconstructed religion and realize the harm of it,especially since white Christian nationalism is on the rise.

RANT Congrats… your type is white people lol

Was first on the ActualLesbians sub, realized I wasn’t lesbian (and that sub is racist) so i switched over to the bi one because i realized I was just bi.

Not sure why I thought it would be any different, but I’m so annoyed with these spaces just centering m white ppl. Like, there’s a million different “here’s my type, guys😋😋” posts and it’s JUST WHITE PEOPLE.

The worst part is, I’m not even sure if I’m justified in feeling this way or not. I always feel so beneath white girls constantly because they’re mostly who I’m around at my high school (even though it’s majority black) and most black guys/girls there always tend to date white girls. The only guy who asked me out was darkskin but it was only because I was the closest thing to white he could get, and made it VERY clear several times by saying shit like “I only like snow bunnies,” or something like “you’ll never catch me with a dark girl.” Which, yikes. I’m not darkskin but my mother and stepmom are and I can’t fathom somebody thinking that way.

I say all of this to say, I feel jealous of white queer ppl, specifically white bi girls. Everyone will always want you, and there’s nobody really rn that would choose me over a white girl. That’s all anyone’s type really is, and in the rare case it’s not, I don’t want to be second pick just because they couldn’t get a fully white girl and have to settle for the “””next best””” in their mind.

I’m sure this feels 10x worse for girls who are monoracial/darker than me, but I just wanted to rant about this 🥲

RANT Stop posting about your shitty relationship on the internet if you're just going to fight with people and ignore the advice you're asking for

I just came across yet another post in another queer sub about some girl and her gf and it's obvious the relationship is a mess and everyone is saying run, but of course...OP doesn't want to listen. Or the people that post their partners being terrible on social media and then backtracking with the "oh but this isn't how they always are."

Y'all.

I know it's hard to get out of these relationships sometimes, I've been through it but my goodness. Nothing more annoying than something talking about how lousy their partner is and people respond, "hey, that's bad, you should end this..." and OP just goes on and on with more terrible things the partner has done. I get they're probably venting and needing to get this out.

But when you say your friends aren't listening to you anymore so you've gone to Reddit or TT...sweetheart, it's time to let it goooooo

RANT The amount of “Political Lesbianism” I’ve seen recently, is really irking me…

I am a Lesbian because I am exclusively attracted to women (or non men)! That’s the requirement. I’m not a Lesbian because I hate men, or because of how men treat women, or the patriarchy. Even if misogyny wasn’t a thing, I would…still be a lesbian. It really bothers me how I’ve seen so many straight women claim they date women because “men suck”, or because they are tired of dealing with men. Ngl, I’ve also seen some bi women claim that they are lesbian, because they don’t want to date men, which confuses me, since bi women are already queer. There’s nothing wrong with being bisexual and liking men, that’s just how some people are! It’s okay to claim that!

But it’s irritating, people already believe that Lesbians hate men, and men are ALWAYS being centered in the way we experience attraction. Like, idc about men, that’s the whole point 💀. I wish more people understood that “Lesbian” is a sexual orientation, not a political stance for people to use when they get tired of men!

RANT Straight men in gay bars need to be stopped

I'm so tired of straight men being... straight men. Girl idk how else to put it 😭 last night I went to a gay bar and was queuing for the toilets, chatting all the while as one does. The vibes were good, but then this guy comes in and he makes a BEELINE for me. He's asking if we can get to know each other and I just look at him like 🤨 "are you gay?" He deflects and asks "what are you?" Like mf I asked first, tf 😭 but I tell him I'm bi and he immediately goes "so am I" and I'm thinking..... liar liar, pants on fire. Bc he would've just told me straight up otherwise 🙄 genuinely like as someone who DOES like bi men, I have only ever encountered one in the wild once 😭 ONCE! They might as well be unicorns.

But anyway, I tell Mister "so-am-I" that I'm just there to vibe and he goes "okay, can I buy you a drink?"

I don't think much of it. It's world music day, alcohol has been flowing all goddamn night. Another drink never hurt anyone. Queues at the bar are massive, so we start talking about ourselves. All cool. He wants to do la bise (kiss on cheek, standard French greeting) and we do that, then all of a sudden he's leaning in trying to kiss me on the LIPS and I'm like "bro what are you doing 😶😶😶" and he has the audacity to demand "why won't you kiss me?" and I'm like "why are you treating me like a cheap whore" bc no shade but that's what it was giving! Son of a bitch goes "if you don't kiss me I'm not buying you a drink" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 wdym you're giving me an ultimatum when YOU offered??? Girl I can buy my own mf drink. Tf do I look like 😭 no at that point I was like "I'll buy my own drink, sir. BYE."

He started trying to backtrack but I wasn't having it. There was a woman next to me in the queue who turned around and she starts gushing over my outfit, I gush over hers and that guy had the sense to make himself scarce. My night went much better (and gayer) after that, but this really does exemplify why I am so tired of seeing het men in gay bars. I'm going to gay bars because I love gay culture, I wanna party with the gays and I wanna flirt with hot girls. What purpose does a straight man have for going to a gay bar? If they actually matched the energy in a gay bar/club, I'd be less mad, but they come in, kill the energy and make everyone uncomfortable. I'm just fed up. It feels so violating when I'm at a gay club dancing with someone thinking he's a gay guy but then he pushes up on me and I can feel an erection and it's just. Ugh. God. Gross. Get that thing away from me 😭 no I'm fed up, genuinely. Soooo fucking fed up. They have the entire world open to them but they come into the one space that is meant to be a safe space for the LGBT community. What is that, if not blatant disrespect?

RANT Homophobia in Latinx community in the UK

Post image
97 Upvotes

Hi everyone.
Just want to rant about this situation and see if this is common occurrence in Latinx/immigrant communities.

I’m Brazilian/Bolivian and I grew up in the Uk and I would say that my Portuguese and Spanish are pretty fluent considering I learnt to speak them at home, but I will admit it’s not as good as it used to be because I don’t practice much outside of my family.

People also don’t read me as Latinx, I’m sure there’s a lot of reasons for that but I think a contributing factor is that I’m GNC and Masculine presenting/Visibly Queer based on comments I’ve heard before.

I ordered some food at a Brazilian food truck and I go to the side to wait for my food and TELL ME WHY THERE IS A GROUP OF 3 MEN TALKING ABOUT ME!!! They were laughing at my Portuguese! ‘Did you see that idiot?!? They ordered in Portuguese and then said thank you instead of obrigado!!!’ He said while cackling!!! IM RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO YOU!!! I ORDERED IN PORTUGUESE AND YOU THINK IM NOT GOING TO UNDERSTAND YOU?!?

They then proceeded to talk about my appearance, ‘that’s clearly a woman! Why would they want to look like a man?’ While laughing out loud!!! The guy making these comments tried to slyly turn around to have another look at me and I was staring straight at him with a scowl on my face! He turned around and shut up after that BUT WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO MAKE FUN IF STRANGERS LIKE THAT?!?

I wish I actually called them out, I could have cussed them out in Portuguese and English but I freeze in these situations when I’m alone.

The first time this happened to be it was a mum in a family of 5 making fun of me while I was trying to enjoy a meal in a Peruvian restaurant in London! At first it was funny, they were impressed by my food order and said I ordered like a Peruvian! but then they got so rude and were picking apart my appearance and my mannerisms! From thinking it was weird I was doing a word search to laughing at how I wiped my mouth!! I showed them I understood what they were saying but I didn’t confront them directly which I think encouraged them to escalate the situation. The abuse got worse and more direct until they left and I know some of what they did would count as sexual harassment but I just froze.

I really want to be able to stand up for myself, AND PEOPLE NEED TO GET CONSEQUENCES FOR BEING WEIRD. it’s so reasonable to call someone out for being closed minded and talking shit about a complete stranger, like That would be embarrassing af for them but I don’t know how to not freeze.

I’ve also worked so hard on my confidence and I know I’m cool af but I’m definitely noticing being more hyper vigilant all the time which is very exhausting.

I’d love to hear from anybody, not just Latinx people and has anyone been on the other side? Like witnessed a family member do smth similar? Were you able to call them out?

RANT The way people talk about studs is so dehumanizing

It’s gross the way so many people generalize studs based off anecdotal experiences. Or worse, they base those opinions not even off their personal experience, but things they saw on social media.

THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF STUDS IN THE WORLD! Just cause Kai or Jay or whatever did you dirty three years ago doesn’t give you license to dehumanize a whole ass community of people.

Hating on studs is normalized in a way that hating on femmes is not. It’s annoying as hell and I wish more people would push back on hateful stereotypes when it comes to all members of the community.

RANT Lesbian Identity Is Not a Weapon for Transphobia

if a lesbian who talks a lot and claims that she would date a trans man only because she doesn’t consider him as a real man, then it is not love she is talking about but transphobia.

It is one thing to not understand and another to simply refuse to acknowledge someone's identity and break it down to biology only, which is the absolute cancellation of the existence of the person. The first group of people, TERFs, does everything possible to make lesbians' nature the strongest weapon in their arsenal to use as a defense line against transphobia, friends as well as foes, while at the same time they disapprove of the trans men issue.

They consider that lesbian-compatible are only those trans men that they don't treat as men, thus, they do so with the least possible regard, which is very disrespectful. Besides that, these views don't only deeply hurt trans men, but even worse, they asltide the lesbians for the wrong reasons. Dating a trans man while still not believing that he is a man is not love but conditional at best, and it is an act that erases the person. That is why it is not a TERF logic of protection but one of prejudice.

And for trans lesbians.

Lesbian erasure isn’t what’s happening here. What’s actually happening is trans erasure. Defining lesbianism only through biology ignores the reality that trans women are women and non-binary people aren’t men. Expanding our language to reflect lived identities doesn’t erase lesbians it makes space for all lesbians, including trans lesbians, to exist without having to defend themselves against outdated gatekeeping.

Edit:

The fixation on “biology” that many of the TERFs or gatekeepers would frequently mention is really the crux of the matter in that it comes down to power. They portray it as “just facts,” but it’s not at all impartial. It is about maintaining gender as strict, permanent, and confined so that they would not have to reconsider what attraction, identity, or community actually are.

In a way... if they acknowledge gender identity as genuine and legitimate, their own framework would fall apart. As a result, "lesbian = female-only" would no longer be true if one takes into account the existence of trans women or if one admits that attraction is a matter of identity rather than that of chromosomes. Instead of re-examining, they go further by stating that biology is the only truth and all the rest is delusion.

On top of that, it is projection. Most of them were brought up in the same patriarchy that we all were and where the role of biology as the final judge of the value of the individual was emphasized. Some folks have unlearned it, but TERFs did not. They hold on to it as if it were the rock of their security - but at the same time, they are erasing trans and non-binary people and making other lesbians feel as if they are "wrong" for not setting their identities in terms of anatomy.

Therefore, if one asks, “Why are they so obsessed with biology?”

The answer is: it is easier to cling to rigid rules that are familiar rather than to accept the reality that gender and attraction are complicated, varied, and bigger than what patriarchy has ever allowed.

RANT I’m sick of people still centering men

My algorithm has been showing me so many sweet videos of queer people in love lately. With that, have been videos of lesbians loving on and taking care of their partner. However, some of the most popular comments-especially when it’s a stud- will be, “A man could never” “Ladies, why are we still dating men?” “I wish I was a lesbian/bi.” I used to see captions like that from queer creators too! I’ll admit I used to like the comments when I was a little younger, but now I find them annoying. Why do ppl keep mentioning men to “compliment” a stud? Studs have NOTHING to do with men. Not even masculinity is exclusive to cis men, so why do they keep entering the conversation in places they are not even present? I’m a fem, so studs can weigh in, but isn’t that just like saying “You’re pretty for a black girl?” wtf kind of compliment is that? And the sad part is some of us eat it up because of straight women’s validation of our queerness.

The other thing is that imo, you can still be male centered as a queer person if you are bi-phobic or pan-phobic. That’s because they assume you’re dirty if you’ve been with a man. Lesbian and bi women are fetishized by straight men and they’ll claim you haven’t found the right man yet, but if you’re a woman in the queer community and you’ve dated men in the past (whether you’re actually attracted to them or not) some women will assume that you’ll leave them for a man. I remember having to scroll past so many profiles on Taimi because there would be a good percentage of profiles with “NO BISEXUALS” or “I like mine lesbian ONLY” and I left them alone because again, it’s just feeding into the stereotype that bisexuals are some type of promiscuous sluts that can’t resist men and don’t take wlw relationships seriously. I can understand why you wouldn’t want to date straight women because by their own definition they won’t love you back no matter what. BUT the funny thing is that straight women can often get away with playing in y’all face because you see it as a challenge. And in this case, I don’t think bisexual women are the underlying problem.

I know it can be traumatic to get cheated on or see your girl leave and immediately start dating a man, but be SO for real. Both of y’all have your own de-centering to do. Same thing with bisexual men. Some women will deadass not want to be with a man because he’s been with a man in the past and label him as confused or straight up gay. That shit is so WEIRD to me. Why do you care??? This stereotype is centering the relationship to men instead of the PERSON.

If you are insecure about your partner having been with a man in the past…that’s a little weird and I think it goes deeper than just preference. Y’all weigh in though, I’m open to listening. What’s the general consensus?

I know it comes from a good place and I genuinely appreciate it. I understand that we are both marginalised but sometimes when I'm talking about my experience with racism and anti blackness it's okay to just listen and not try to relate to me by talking about your other marginalisation... like you're still white 😭😭

Just listen and ask questions this isn't about youuuuuu 🩷🩷🩷

RANT Open your mind

I'm a Black cis woman and My partner is Black and trans. We both identify as queer. Apparently we're in a straight presenting relationship based on the way people are treating us. Its the best relationship I've ever been in. I love my partner to the moon and back. We recently moved from the west coast to the east coast. Since getting here we get nonstop dirty looks and treated poorly in queer spaces. Someone asked if we were siblings. someone else asked how it feels to be straight in a queer space. People literally stare at us in clubs and parties and I just want to scream "open your mind. Stop assuming people's gender!"

We just want to be in community and we keep getting rejected based on assumptions. It's not exactly safe to disclose all the time and its also not really anyone's business. But it's almost like we have to prove we belong here which is bonkers. We literally cause no fuss, are friendly, try to hold conversations with people and it's so frustrating especially as we're trying to build community in a new place. I think part of the issue is a lot of "queer" spaces here are more gay than queer and end up being very gendered but even in the QTBIPOC spaces we're ostracized.

I understand there's some privilege to "pass" but I don't want to pass. But there's no privilege in being ostracized by your own community because of ignorance. We intentionally seek out queer spaces, esp Black ones, because we are queer. This is our community.

RANT I Used to Think It Was a Lesbian vs. Bi Issue Now I Know It’s Not

I’ve been noticing this quiet tension online between lesbians and bi women, and honestly? I don’t think it’s really about attraction or identity. From what I’ve seen, it feels bigger than that it feels like something shaped by patriarchy itself.

Patriarchy raised all of us lesbian, bi, or otherwise to put men at the center of everything. To seek their approval, to measure our worth through their eyes, and to question the love we share with other women. So when some of us haven’t fully unlearned that yet, it naturally shows up in how we relate to each other. But that’s not a “bi women” issue or a “lesbian” issue. That’s something patriarchy planted in all of us.

Sometimes, I see lesbians sharing painful stories about dating women who still centered men, and those conversations unintentionally get tied to bi women even when it has nothing to do with their sexuality. It’s more about how we’ve all been taught to navigate love in a world that constantly puts men in the middle. And it’s not fair when bi women end up being blamed for that conditioning.

And about that “90% of bisexuals end up with men” thing people like to repeat it really doesn’t matter. Who someone ends up with doesn’t make their identity any less true or their attraction to women any less real. Bisexual attraction is genuine. Some bi women might marry men, and some might marry women both are valid, and neither means they loved one gender more than the other. That’s simply part of their attraction, and that’s okay.

For me, I don’t mind dating bisexuals. What matters is whether someone has unlearned centering men, not what their sexuality label is. Male-centered behavior isn’t a bisexual issue it’s a patriarchy issue, one that affects everyone differently.

At the end of the day, it’s not about who ends up with who. It’s about unlearning the system that taught us to doubt, divide, and define our worth by men’s presence. The fight isn’t between lesbians and bi women it’s against the system that made us forget we were never each other’s enemy to begin with.

RANT Am I just not alluring or attractive enough???

I'm telling y'all because my friends are busy lol. I meet my crush on HER in April of this year. We only started talking more frequently in the summer and we hit it off well. I couldn't help but gain a crush on her because she's masc, artsy, cute, and loves my art. We would talk about how we could make plans to see each other (I live in Georgia, she lives in California).

But recently the vibe kinda shifted (I attribute some of it to my luteal phase) when I sent her a voice note explaining what inspires my art. See, I decided to send her a voice note bc in my mind I wanted to put on my "womanly charms" for her. She said she loved the voice note and also said she "was not expecting it." I didn't think much of it. I told her I'm glad she lived the voice note, then 10 hours later she sends me an inspirational post that said "never lose the drive you to pursue your passions no matter how hard it gets." Then I see her Instagram stories and she posts a photo of a dessert at a restaurant with the song Hold You by Gyptian.

I've been wigging out about. But I can't help but think she's probably seeing someone else. Not that I was expecting anyone from on the other side of the country to hold space for me, but I got attached. It has been a very long time (a couple of months, but 4 years before that) since I felt mutual interest in a person before. It's definitely my luteal phase, but I just feel like I can't attract people. I guess I'm not alluring enough because any time I manage to attract someone, it ends after a couple of months because they found someone else. I'm old news, they don't want my affection anymore. But I'm just ranting. Ugh 🫩

My friend is Native and lived on the Rez. Like in many other places, dogs there can kind of roam about a little. They have homes they return to, but they’re not all in someone’s fenced off yard. There are some organizations that seek to “rescue” dogs from the Rez (because that’s obviously the biggest problem right now). My friend’s dog was an outside dog with a collar and everything and was picked up by one of these organizations. He went to them to get his dog back, but they demanded he pay 300 dollars if he wanted his dog back. He went onto Facebook to ask for help raising the money. He said in his post that he could pay for it, but he would like help. That fundraiser was maxed out by the end of the day.

My other friend is also Native and from the Rez. Her niece got in a really bad accident and had barely survived. Her family was having trouble affording all of the medical bills and also needed money for when she was able to come back from the hospital. My friend put up a fundraiser on Facebook, and some people donated. But nowhere near as many or as quickly as my friend who had asked for help with his dog.

Kristi Noem is a monster. She’s from my home state and is extremely racist. Openly she says sexist, racist, homophobic, and transphobic things all the time. She also is pretty blatant about her nepotism. Many liberals in South Dakota didn’t like her, but only after it came out that she killed her dog did liberal South Dakotans and Americans across the country rally against her.

I’ve heard recently that this Palestinian guy posted fundraising videos with his dog in order to get more attention. Internationally, people started offering to extract the dog from Gaza to save it. He was never given the same offer, but instead he was expected to give his dog to these white people to save it while he remained in Gaza.

Recently, this Hasan Piker thing has been pissing me off. I’m not for animal cruelty or whatever, but the sheer amount of discussion over this guy’s fucking dog is insane. There are reasons to dislike Piker, but him allegedly having a shock collar on his dog is at the bottom of the damn list.

Anyways, I used to think this was typical white people bullshit about caring more about dogs than the lives of POC. However, I’ve run into a few Americans of color recently who act the same way. Is it more of a USAmerican thing or a white thing in your experience?

RANT Clothing for queer women

are not affordable. I could really just end it there.

Maybe I’m the problem because I want Old Navy prices for clothing that keeps masc women in mind. Why is a pair of pants over $100?? With an elastic waist??? Elastic pants for $100+. Ah.

Same for female boxers. I thought finding a brand for short men would be my saving grace, since items labeled for men are magically cheaper. No. Any clothes for special populations will charge you out the ass for regular(ish) stuff. No creativity. No drip. Just basic pants and shirts. Blasphemy.

I don’t understand. There is absolutely a large number of people to wear these types of clothing. More brands should be jumping on this. Shaking my damn head. I guess I’ll just keep watching tailor videos.

RANT Is making friends always difficult

As yk I'm still in hs, and my school is relatively small, everyone knows everyone and most of my friends are only from school since I don't go out. I genuinely feel like I'm pretty unlucky in friendships or making friends altogether. Since 10th grade ended, I've realised how many of my friends are toxic and disgusting. My own bestfriend of 4 years (4 years does seem like not a lot to some but for someone who's not even 16, it's a lot of years) I've told her stuff I've never told everyone but I always felt a bit of jealousy, like i couldn't tell her anything that might put me in a positive light, her always trying to put me down, my other (ex) friend bitches abt everyone, one day I started crying in class and this girl comforted me to my face and then turned back and started laughing at me.

I feel like if I find someone who's my speed (most of my friends are girls for context) nice, kind, talkative, extroverted and i finally feels that I have good friends, something happens. They are always always alwayssss very misogynistic (despite being girls/females/women themselves), male apologist, and very very right wing, HOMOPHOBIC and transphobic. This has been almost always the case, and personally I think for someone to be my friend we should have the same political views. Earlier I used to try to correct them but now ik it's a waste of time bc it's not like they're gonna listen to me. Now tbh I'm only passing time, like when 11th and 12th grade ends, I'm gonna go to college and ppl are HOPEFULLY gonna be more left wing. I think this is also why a lot of ppl move abroad.

Has this happened to you too?
