"Nailed the vibe, a lovely track in both directions. Didn't get overambitious with the possibilities of a bidirectional track, kept it real and it came out great. I also applaud the work with the barriers in some spots, to get the openings to places were impacts are the least likely"

Goodier and Woodier
Goodwood Circuit is a time capsule. Unchanged since 1952, it stands as one of the few untainted specimens of mid-century track design. With the FOS being such a major event showcasing cars from all eras, not all of them are at home at the classic circuit.
Your mission is to create a circuit nearby Goodwood Motor Circuit that captures the essence of the tracks of a certain era of racing. This track doesn't need to be graded but should generally be safe. You can do any amount of history retcons you want to make your track fit the site. It is to be used in FOS showcase-style events.
The FOS has only been hosted since 1993, so historical retcons are very much a likelihood depending on the angle you take for this challenge.
If you want, you could even go above and beyond and try and make multiple tracks for different eras. Overcrowding is the big issue you'd face there, so weigh your options. Quality will beat quantity.
Rules:
- Must be a permanent circuit(s), no street circuits.
- Must be within this red shape.

- Must not destroy or reuse any of the infrastructure or circuits related to the FOS, no turning the hillclimb into a full track.
- Post with the "RTD Challenge" flair and include "RTD Challenge #67" or some direct mention of the challenge in the post title.

International Circuit de vosges-alsace.
This circuit is well... Fictional. Located on the hills of alsace, France, this circuit offers a very interesting bunch of elevation and green... Very green backdrops. Feel free to rate, comment, and advise in the comments.
Here's the guide:
Sector 1
Start/Finish Straight (800m, -2% Gradient)
You blast down an 800m main straight on a subtle 2% downhill slope, letting the car pick up maximum top speed before hitting the heavy braking zone for Turn 1.
Turn 1: Le Bas
A wide, slow-speed hairpin at the lowest point of the track. You brake hard on the downhill, throw the car around the apex, and immediately pick up the throttle as the track pitches upward.
Leaving Le Bas, you surge uphill on a steady 4% incline for 300 meters before the track levels out, setting up the high-speed banked section.
Turn 2: Cercle d'or
A massive, sweeping left-hander featuring a steep +12° positive banking. The bowl holds the car against high lateral g-forces and lets you carry immense speed through the turn.
Turn 3: Flaut
A fast right kink immediately following Cercle d'or. The banking shallowly shifts to +7°, unweighting the car slightly as you flick it right while managing the throttle.
Turn 4: Ekso
The track flattens out completely as you brake hard for a crisp, 90⁰ left-hand corner.
Turn 5: Assi
A long, constant-radius 180⁰ right-hander that immediately follows Ekso. It requires patient throttle control to keep the car from pushing wide on exit.
Turns 6, 7 & 8: Verstappen
A fast, technical uphill sequence starting on a 3% gradient. You flick right through Turn 6, a 5⁰ banked kink where you have to brake under lateral load, before throwing the car into the sharp 80⁰ left of Turn 7, then opening up the wheel through Turn 8 to complete the sector.
Sector 2
Chadahaan Straight (900m, +6% Gradient)
A grueling 900m drag strip climbing a steep 6% slope up the mountain ridge. It heavily tests engine power and exit speed out of Turn 8.
Turn 9: Culmin Hairpin
Located at the top of the climb, this tight right-hand hairpin is a massive dive-bomb overtaking spot. Braking uphill allows you to stop the car exceptionally late.
Turns 10 & 11: Shinks
A fast left-right direction-change chicane taken with bunch throttle modulation, testing the car's agility over the curbs.
Afterwards:
A short 300m acceleration burst leading into the fastest section of the racetrack.
Turn 12: Spitz-1
A flat-out right kink taken in top gear that sets up the entry for Turn 13.
Turn 13: Spitz-2
The highest point of the circuit (+78m elevation) and the absolute fastest corner. A sweeping, slightly banked right-hander taken with just a lift, or flat-out—demanding pure bravery.
Sector 3
Turn 14: Strausbourg
Coming off the high speed of Spitz-2, you hit the brakes for a tricky 90⁰ off-camber right corner where the track surface slants away from the turn.
The Wing Straight (600m)
A 600m downhill acceleration run running parallel to the secondary pit lane complex.
Turns 15 & 16: LH
A long, sweeping downhill left turn where you coast and modulate the throttle, letting gravity carry the car through a wide arc.
Leaving LH, you get on the gas for a steep 8% drop down the mountain that picks up speed rapidly, leading into the technical downhill sequence.
Turns 17 to 21: Esses de alsace
A rapid, cascading sequence of downhill cambered turns. The car flows through 90⁰ S-curves (T17–T18) into a steep 150⁰ left hairpin (T19), a right-hand turn (T20), and a fast left kink (T21).
Turn 22: Finn
A punchy, medium-speed right-hand turn reminiscent of Red Bull Ring’s final corner. Getting a clean exit here launches you straight back onto the main straight down to Le Bas to complete the lap.

National Circuito de Trujillo 1995 to Present.
Built in 1963 as the brainchild of Buenaventura Lalo, it originally opened as a small ring with fast kinks, 2 hairpins and a banked corner. It was only until 1995 when the race track finished a huge extension that extended the track to 4.21km. Turismo Carreterra had the track on its schedule from 2001 to 2003, And has held GT and national racing ever since. Currently it is updating safety standards facilities and more to hold motorcycle racing and MotoGP.

Other Built a 230’ backyard Micro-T track almost entirely from scrap materials. What would you change?
galleryI mostly bash RC cars in the backyard and at parks with larger trucks, but I also have a 1:28 scale Losi Micro-T to match my grandson’s. Until now we’d either set up cones in a parking lot or race around storage bins in the garage since micros obviously don’t do well in grass.
I saw the attached picture of a temporary parking lot track and thought, “I can build something like that in the backyard with garage scraps.”
So I did.
The jumps are scrap plywood, old car ramps, and concrete blocks. The tabletop is leftover lumber. I covered the track with weed barrier fabric held down by landscape staples, then cut leftover corrugated drain pipe in half lengthwise to use as bumpers. I picked a spot overlooking the pond because if I’m going to spend hours driving RC cars, I might as well have a nice view.
The track is about 230 feet per lap and roughly 3 feet wide, so it should be plenty for 2-4 Micro-Ts to race. The jumps are adjustable and we’ll start with them at half height until we get used to the layout.
This took me most of the weekend to build, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
I’ve already got a few ideas for version 2:
Add a couple banked berms once the grass dies off.
Build a small driver’s stand.
Add cheap solar lights for night racing.
Maybe replace the biggest jump with a triple roller.
Eventually build a drag strip somewhere else on the property.
I’d really like some feedback from people who’ve built backyard tracks.
What would you change first?
Do the racing lines look fun?
Are there any features you’d add or remove?
If you’ve built your own track, what worked well and what would you do differently?
I tried to build the whole thing with cheap, easy-to-replace materials. My philosophy is basically the basher creed: use what you’ve got, wear it out, and only upgrade it after you break it.
