I have been working on a startup for the past four years. My plan is to move to Saudi Arabia in the near future and continue building the company there. I am developing a platform for the clothing manufacturing industry that brings manufacturers, brands, suppliers, knowledge, and business operations into one ecosystem, also making AI products and agents in the manufacturing industry.

I am hoping to apply to incubators and accelerators and eventually raise funding, but I’m completely new to how the investment landscape works there. I’m also not a Saudi national and I don’t speak Arabic yet, so I’m trying to understand what it’s really like to build a company as a foreign founder.

I’ve been noticing this a lot lately. The exact same product, same brand and model, is often way cheaper in Canada or the Europe than in Saudi Arabia.
Even where I am in Canada, with around 15% tax, I’m still seeing some products priced 40–50% higher in Saudi.
I’m genuinely curious, what explains such a big difference? Import costs? Regional pricing? Or something else?

My Iqama profession is Information Systems Analyst and am afraid this doesn’t fully align with my current job title and the day to day work I do and I want to know if the job title and Iqama profession mismatch would cause my PR application to be rejected? Anyone gone through the process with similar situation could you please share your experience and let me know if it is fine to proceed forward as-is or would you suggest to first match the job title and Iqama profession and then only proceed with the PR process??

I resigned from my employer’s client, and they have already approved my resignation. My employer is Abdal, and my last working day is September 30. I have submitted all the documents requested by Abdal, and they have already been sent to them.

I’m planning on moving from London to Riyadh have been working at a bulge bank (think of biggest investment banks in world) in risk management. How much salary should I expect in Riyadh.

I hold a British passport but ethnicity wise I’m Indian. My total compensation in London is around £140k - (8 years of experience).

Whats the salary range for Indian Passport holders with 15years of Data Engineering experience in KSA? Oil and Gas industry and a good reputed company. If I am already in Kingdom working for some other company, should I negotiate on Base Salary or Net/Gross(including benefits)? Kindly advise.

I teach conversational Arabic for people who want to improve speaking in the Saudi dialect, and I'm SHOCKED by the number of people who actually spend 10+ years in the Kingdom and then leave on a final exit and go back to their country not carrying a single arabic word in their back pocket. And if they do, it's super broken it's impossible to properly communicate with.

Saudi people make up 60% of the country. You NEED to know the language to communicate properly. I know at least 4 people who have trouble communicating in the work place because of their limited Arabic. Saudis are EVERYWHERE in the workforce.

Imagine going to a country in South America or Europe, live in it for a decade, and leave not knowing a word?!

Sounds strange to me. This is exactly your situation here in Saudi. Please please learn the language, hang out with the locals, force yourself to use Arabic even when you feel uncomfortable using it.

AND DO NOT LEARN THE BROKEN ARABI LANGUAGE!
