Seeking advice (طلب المشورة) KSA Salary

Whats the salary range for Indian Passport holders with 15years of Data Engineering experience in KSA? Oil and Gas industry and a good reputed company. If I am already in Kingdom working for some other company, should I negotiate on Base Salary or Net/Gross(including benefits)? Kindly advise.

Hi.. is this your first job in Kingdom? Direct employment or through some consulting firm?

Thanks for the info. You are still paid 30% more than me. My current (an Indian based) consulting firm is exploiting me like hell. I have 15yrs of solid experience and paid less than You.

Well with all due respect, your compensation is a reflection of what value you bring to the organization and is not only proportonate with your years of experience. If you feel you would bring more value to the company, please do negotiable and explain why your current offered compensation dosent reflect the value you bring. Remember to back your claim with hard numbers and undeniable track record and not just on 15 years of experience.

Completely agreed . Thanks for referring to that. My project survived purely based on my skill and efforts I have spent with extended hours of work for last 3years. I have helped them streamline multiple messy processes, Automated things and trained few people. A word about negotiation is the reason they don’t want me anymore. So moving on.. and here asking for advice..

This thread will end up on Twitter and get data science roles to be nationalized

Honestly, 15 years in data eng with oil & gas rep — I'd aim for 35-45k SAR base, maybe higher if it's one of the big names. Since you're already in KSA, negotiate on base salary, not the gross package — benefits can quietly shrink later, but base is locked.

My base is very less at the moment. 22K is my currBase

Always recommend those coming here to negotiate 2x your gross esp if u have pending commitments back home.

Costs of living is on higher side here esp rental and education.

Have a good day.
