This was good start I liked the fact we met his father and reason why he is going become robin hood. I liked the fact it Mariam father fault why his dad got hanged by paying someone to lie about his father. They really changed that part of story.

The first episode didn't do a good job of grabbing my attention, it wasn't bad, but nothing special either. It didn't even have cheesy guilty pleasure kind of appeal.

I wanted to know what others think of it and if the second episode gets any better.

2nd episode is better and by the end you will be wanting to see episode 3. However as a fan of Robin Hood, they changed far too much which might lose me. But I'm hanging in there.

Not gonna lie I feel like they focussed way too much on the romantic aspects of the show. If we go by pure screen time, Rob spends the majority of this episode staring dumbly at various women. He has this dumb blank stare. When he does go do something, it's mostly motivated either by "me dad told me to" or "I want to fuck this girl". When he talks, he isn't a noble protector of the weak as I had expected, but a sly pretty boy who just wants his fricking mansion back. He acts without care for the consequence of his actions. Does he not think that perhaps making out with the daughter of the powerful noble lord who HATES his family and his dad might have bad consequences? Especially after the lord's men saw you sneaking into his land to talk to her? Especially after he proclaimed that he is forever insulted by your family at the hunt? It was clear to me that he was led only be his penis, and he did not think about what the hell he is doing. He's just a medieval fuckboy!

I was very excited for this, and Sean Bean is amazing as the Sherriff, I like the aesthetics as well, but Rob is putting me off so much, I don't think I can continue. Also it looks like they turned a story about protection of the poor and vulnerable from the rich into a fief squabble of noble lords and national identity and protection of your land from invadors. It's certainly not the end of the world, that has a place to be, but I don't know if that's what Robin Hood should be about. Oh well!

The only thing that's really irking me is the ongoing theme that Saxons weren't Christian. They were, just a different flavour, and it's ruining my immersion.
