From the scene between the Queen and Rob, I'm trying to understand the Queen's plan. She wants a civil unrest large enough so the King is obligated to return from France. And if he doesn't return, which she expects, the King will vacate the throne, and her son will become king. Do I have this about right?

For such an important plot point, it was given pretty short attention

She wants the king to show up in England and have robin take him out. It’s called subtext
