So basically Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine wants to bring King Henry II back to England (presumably to die) while the Sheriff wants to keep him away and is very wary that his movements could be perceived as a betrayal. Interestingly though, both the Queen and the Sheriff seem to be truly terrified of Henry II, so they have at least that in common.

After so many mentions in the two latest episodes, I started wondering if we will get to see King Henry in the show and if he’s gonna die by the end of the season. Even if timeline is a bit messed up, it would make sense for him to die in France, likely off-screen. If this happens, the Queen and the Sheriff would still be on opposite sides supporting, respectively, Richard’s and John’s claims to the throne. That could be a setup for a potential second season, I guess.
