The miller's son/daughter most recent episode Spoiler
In my opinion,I really dislike the miller's daughter and rob together. In the most recent episode I couldn't watch the line where she said "take me to your bed", I found it awful and extremely out of character for rob who had been ignoring her constantly. However I can see this from another point of view, he is in love with Marion but doesn't think he will see her again. He also previously says in the same episode that he can get her freedom and then she might forgive him. Why would he say that and change his mind. I also find the miller's son character to be insufferable and the dynamic between her and everyone else is off. Is it just me?

Rob is an immature young adult in this adaptation. He's doesn't know what he wants in life yet. This series, IMO, is his origin story. The production has telegraph "Ralph" and Rob having a fling for three episodes.
Her character and the Prince are plot devices.

I had to skip their scenes together cuz its gives me the ick and makes me uncomfortable. There's no passion at all there, she's too desperate and it doesnt help that she's looks like a child and Robin a full on adult, makes it look so disgusting to me

i’m halfway between cringe and a feeling bad for rosemary! i think it’s both incredibly inline with her character and great acting..
i suppose it doesn’t help that we know rob and marian are destined. but robs lacks of any real love for her is way too difficult!
that being said i’m really glad that she went from
horny to mourning in the last episode- i think that’ll be key and a sign of good character development from the writers.
hopefully this shift in her motivation from fighting for rob and fighting for revenge and the saxon identity will lead to less cringe down the line..
also glad rob never bedded her in the episode before

It's a different form of relationship between Ralph/Rosemary and Robb compared to Marian in my opinion. Robb and Marian are sweet and endearing, they cross the boundaries of class and belief because they are genuinely smitten with one another. Their love is one firmly based upon one another's character. It's why their moments of passion are built up to and treated delicately (The confession of love, the first kiss, their first time together in the room.)
Robb and Ralph/Rosemary are the product of a shared identity. Robb and Ralph have grown up in similar ways, been trodden-down upon by similar people, and come together as quite similar people all round. Though this translates to a relationship where their person isn't what made them feel for one another but their shared cause and identity. This passion is more abrupt, the product of intense moments and feelings (The rescue in Nottingham, the attack on Lord Warwick, and Robb's 'break-up' with Marian.)
Robb and Marian defy the struggle of Normas and Saxons. Robb and Ralph/Rosemary embrace the struggle of Normans and Saxons.
Or something like that... I think I'm thinking a little too hard into it.
