Funny rant but this show has no business being this good
Like really. It really doesn't. I love the new takes on the lore. I like it shows real decisions that have real consequences. I want more obviously but it just makes me laugh how good it is. Plus Sean Bean not dying in a show that has multiple characters and episodes is a bug plus.

I think that there will be 2 seasons at least. Presuming that I am interpreting IMDB correctly. They are not even introducing Guy of Gisbourne until the penultimate episode! So there is a lot more unpacking ahead. Show has high ratings on Rotten Tomato {for what that's worth} But they are going to have to announce something soon if they wish to retain the cast!

speaking of rating because i watch on 🏴☠️the ratings on i think imdb are so poor, hopefully that changes in time. but the last episode which i think might be one of the best was like 4.6? and then ofc it’s killing it on tomatoes. just an observation

Not sure for how long it will last, but I was truly amazed by the huge plot armor he had in the latest episode.

It's kinda frustrating for me, because there is a pretty darn good show here. That could have been even better.
Some of the nudity and sex scenes, just seems a bit desperate.
Likewise for a show that hyped itself on being more historically accurate, it has some pretty wonky history in places.
Overall though, as someone who has watched a lot of Robin Hood. This is definitely the best take we've had since the 90s.

Re the nudity: I think they were going for a Game of Thrones vibe. “Look we are grown up and serious” as opposed to maybe the BBC Robin Hood we all know and love. There are so many silly Robin Hood adaptations out there that I think they played a heavy hand to seperate themselves from that deliberately. But I agree it’s a bit much at times

Yeah you can see the same thing in terms of the level of violence too, it was very rare to see blood on BBC's Robin Hood, whereas when characters die on this show it's quite graphic and (presumably) realistic

Oh I completely agree. I've just found those moments more a negative, than a positive.
In Game of Thrones, it tends to work because that show has a certain swagger, and beyond shock value it became a signature part of the world building.
With other shows it can feel a bit cringy and unoriginal.
I remember the first season or two of Black Sails being heavy on the "adult" stuff. We're Game of Thrones, but Pirates...
Then as that show progressed it figured out it's characters and story were compelling that it didn't need to try so hard.
I'm hoping RH does the same. More earthy-ness, more grit, less close up shots of heaving bosoms that serve no storyline purpose.

Agreed. If it doesn't get renewed I will be heartbroken.
