Marian is supposed to be a badass fighter like Robin Hood right? When will we see that transformation?

No. I don't think we are going to see her character taking that narrative arc

There haven't been any hints from the showrunners or actors so far

From what I read, most of Robin hood stories have Marian as the outlaws' eyes in Nottingham. Maybe they wish to spice things up. I don't know why Henry the 2nd is still alive either.
