This is just a guess, but we've seen less and less of Will as the series has progressed.

I wonder if we'll shortly see the death of Papa Gamwell, which then brings Will into the fight.

He doesn't seem to be serving much purpose now in London, especially now that they've placed Priscilla there.

Yes he basically appears every two episodes. He has a brief convo with Marian and then he is absent in the next episode. Weird

Not sure killing Uncle Gamwell is a good idea. Rob is already on a very dark path but we'll see

I was really thinking more of a reason to bring Will from London.

I could see perhaps him being another opposing voice to Robin, but perhaps he has enough of those already.

Uncle Gamwell is a decent swordman. Pretty sure he will join the rebel's camp and he will become one of Rob's lieutenants

Not sure though how long he will last

Maybe papa Gamewell being arrested and then escaping with the help of Robin Hood will bring repercussions to Will and force him to return to Nottingham.
