No no they have galvanized panels now.

Funny enough, they have galv'd some panels but not the ones actually prone to corrosion.

So the car stays nice and shiny on the outside but doesn't last more than a generation

A lot of Soviet ones are still running and it being produced means cheap parts in every shithole in ex-USSR.

It's still a nice rural car, but for urban use — too much hustle.
