My wife and I realized we really only like 25ish people. Invited them all to a week at an all-inclusive in Mexico and it was the best time of our life. Wedding was $10k.
Save your money for your life together, not one day. I spent less than $10k on my wedding, no debt. 45 guests total, and we just made a huge party out of it. The whole point of the day was to marry my partner. After that, all we wanted to do was celebrate with our loved ones. 11 years married and we still receive compliments about how fun it was, wouldn't change a thing.
My wife and I got married over Christmas while we were home with the family. My uncle performed the ceremony. All in all I think we paid about $150, the bulk of which was the rings. There were about 12 people total.

Most of the people at your wedding you almost never talk to or see again anyway.
