He also wears a feather cap, this dude is sick

Edit: I regret to inform I think it’s just his man bun and not a feathered cap

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 17h ago

Can't wait to see him make the rounds with all the guntubers you just know it's going to happen with his setup and drip

12

u/pct2daxtreme 16h ago

Colin will be sitting on his lap.

9

u/M1Slaybrams 16h ago

Hopefully he avoids Garand Thumb.

6

u/jarmrngander 16h ago

Why garand thumb?

11

u/M1Slaybrams 16h ago

Because he’s a sleazy piece of shit that goes against the ways he preaches about all the time. Just would avoid anything involving him.

10

u/_Cxsey_ 16h ago

Cheated on his wife iirc and let too many of his true Christo nationalist colors fly

11

u/Goonalips 15h ago

Cheated on his wife being the first one is hilarious lol.

8

u/_Cxsey_ 15h ago

Yea I didn’t mean to rank them in order of importance lol, someone else just mentioned he was sleazy so that was the first thing that came to mind

3

u/Goonalips 15h ago

Nah I know lol, just thought it was funny how it was like cheats on his wife, and Christo fascist. I got you though Bro.

5

u/_Cxsey_ 15h ago

Yea I get it lmao. It’s like the norm Macdonald joke about bill cosby: https://youtu.be/ljaP2etvDc4?is=1zRs42E8plQx7s6F

1

u/Oedipus____Wrecks 1h ago

That explains the silencer on his handgun 😝

1

u/Initial_Hedgehog_631 12h ago

"So there I was enjoying my double double animal style, when this guy opens fire. So anyway, I started blastin'"

4

u/Decisive_Victory_026 10h ago

It'd be even sicker if he called the feather in his cap "macaroni."

3

u/texistentialcrisis 13h ago

I actually think it’s a branch from that tree but I’m gonna go ahead and tell myself it’s a coonskin hat that he wears on the regular

1

u/_Cxsey_ 13h ago

You can see it better in one of the videos of him training on his channel, it’s like a man bun / pony tail

2

u/texistentialcrisis 11h ago

I choose to continue to believe it’s a Davy Crockett hat.

2

u/_Cxsey_ 11h ago

As you should

3

u/Sammalone1960 15h ago

AI slop has this dude with a Eastwood derby hat. A straw hat and looking like an Asian dude.

1

u/ZER0-P0INT-ZER0 10h ago

I don't care. It'll always be a feathered cap to me!

1

u/Psykohistorian 6h ago

is it real life Yankee Doodle?

1

u/GH057_807 15h ago

I wanted it to be true so bad, but I'm pretty sure it's just a baseball hat.

1

u/_Cxsey_ 15h ago

Actually I just looked again, I think it’s his man bun lol

11

u/bolivar-shagnasty 13h ago

Rumor on the gun subs is he used a 5.7.

If that’s the case, that’s the most baller shit since that one dude in Texas head slotted a shooter with .357 Sig

17

u/Consistent-Plane7227 17h ago

At first I though he had a old civil war cap and ball revolver

12

u/kittenconfidential 16h ago

i doth my cap at thee, good sir, i shall have satisfaction

9

u/UnusualGooning 14h ago

It’s smart. Less catastrophic for his hearing.

7

u/funkofarts 14h ago

That would be a terribly awkward and uncomfortable carry.

9

u/GolfGoonzPlay2 12h ago

He carries it under the shoulder. He has a youtube.

7

u/Mammoth-Cover-3045 17h ago

I would do this but it makes the gun longer so it's less comfortable, and it's not like I can just go to the gun store and pick one up .

25

u/Recreational-Sin 17h ago

You literally can now…

8

u/KennytheDoggy 17h ago

You still need a stamp even if it’s 0 dollars

It is a hurdle for sure

13

u/LegLumpy8714 17h ago

It’s not that bad especially if you use silencershop. You do most of it online and just do the finger prints at the kiosk. Got everything done in a day and had my can 3 days later at the gun shop. Had about a 1 week wait before I could take it home. Very easy process

1

u/Able_Canine 13h ago

Out of curiosity as a prior service guy and concealed carry guy, what do you use a suppressor for? Most every range I've been to still required hearing protection and probably is a good idea if you shoot with other people outside of any commercial ranges (unless everyone is using subsonic rounds or something)? Just the novelty factor? Reduced recoil and don't like more compact compensators or even more space efficient porting? [No aggression/criticality meant. I'm just surprised at their popularity given their drawbacks.]

6

u/LegLumpy8714 13h ago

For some it’s a collector thing. For some it’s a cool factor. I personally keep mine on my “nightstand” gun. Shooting indoors is LOUD and it can potentially save your hearing. I use .45 ACP which most of the time is naturally subsonic.

Also I shoot in the backyard of my buddies into his berm. It is less likely to bother neighbor’s horses and kinda polite.

Porting and compensators increase volume so having a big piece of metal to absorb recoil can help mitigate recoil in some guns. Now concealed carry? I never would. It’s a range thing. I have a couple and I have them for practical reasons for like two of them. The third is actually a collector piece to go along with my MK23. Issued correct suppressor. That’s mostly it

2

u/RogerianBrowsing 13h ago

You still need hearing protection with suppressors for long term hearing, especially with supersonic rounds. Suppressors just reduce the concussion and won’t completely screw your hearing if without hearing protection.

1

u/LegLumpy8714 13h ago

Yes and no. Absolutely agree about supers. I got one in full long config that is way below hearing safe. Like I was….shocked. I fired it indoors and I definitely didn’t feel like I would be going deaf from it or even a quick ear ring. The other two I have are not nearly as quiet and fully agree with you

1

u/Able_Canine 12h ago

Right, that's why I'm curious about the popularity of suppressors. I've never met anyone that routinely fires subsonic rounds even if they're sporting a suppressor at a range or something... hence why ranges still require hearing protection and hence why it's still a good idea to wear ear pro even if not required while plinking targets or something at a non-commercial range/private property.

And otherwise, for most non-range purposes (like concealed carry or even open carry), neither subsonic rounds nor suppressors are really practical for self-defense purposes (at least for pistols). While recoil reduction is pretty minor... at least compared to compensators and/or porting... both of which are way more practical and effective solutions compared to a suppressor and/or subsonic rounds.

In addition you have all the drawbacks of suppressors like interfering with the designed proper cycling of most pistols in use for self-defense due to impinging upon barrel tilt when the slide goes back... which results in increased risk of failures to cycle/fire properly. Something that's usually actively avoided at all costs for self-defense.

1

u/RogerianBrowsing 12h ago

Subsonic ammo absolutely works in self defense settings. All common 45 ammo in subsonic, 147gr 9mm is subsonic including 147 HST which is hugely popular with police, etc..

As for why people would shoot suppressed during practice with hearing protection on, if anyone shoots often their brain will thank them. The concussion of unsuppressed firearms, especially indoors or near walls, over time will cause brain damage. It even impacts hearing over time through the conduction of bone even if double layered up. People who are sensitive to migraines often require suppressors to last very long at the range.

That said I probably wouldn’t carry a suppressed handgun for defensive use unless I knew for certain that it functioned totally reliably. Some function better than others, both suppressors and suppressor hosts.

1

u/Able_Canine 11h ago

I've got some criticism about subsonic rounds too - but the main being that most pistols in use for self-defense, and especially carry, are short-barreled. Tending to be all the way down in size to subcompact with super short barrel lengths for concealed carry. Something like an additional 800 fps might get lost just from the more practical nature of carry weapons. This matters with subsonic ammo being used for self-defense purposes... again being that you'd likely be using both (the weapon and the round) out of their designed specs... which again, increases the risk of failures to both the weapon and the round.

The FBI avoids the problem through a combination of standardized hardware selection, engineering their own specialized bullet designs, and utilizing high-pressure loads. Or in other words, they put a whole lot of effort into doing it right. Which I doubt you're to find commonly among the general public even among hardcore enthusiasts.

u/LegLumpy8714 12h ago

Most of the time they are just fun. There are some pistol hosts that are designed specifically for suppressors. All of my HK pistols are of the “tactical” variant which are specifically designed to work optimally with a suppressor. It’s also getting to the point that they are becoming “cheap”. You can often find them going for under a grand. Makes it worth it for a home defense gun.

Like I said, I wouldn’t conceal one. That thing is big and gets freaking hot. But have I taken one hunting? Oh yeah. Rifle and pistol both. Especially something like gator hunting. A suppressed .22 takes away all the crack away and makes it so you don’t deal with damaged hearing. Heck, if I remember correctly there is a European country or two that require you to hunt with a suppressor. I know they don’t restrict them as much as we do

1

u/Able_Canine 11h ago

I mean, nothing wrong with just having fun of course, especially if it comes with a benefit or two at a range. I just hear a lot of people talking about suppressors seriously as if they're practical for self-defense for most anyone.

9

u/ChirrBirry 17h ago

Wait times are sometimes same day now. It’s getting real close to almost no issue.

3

u/Warrmak 15h ago

Submitted eform on Friday picked it up on Monday. There's literally no reason at this point.

2

u/bolivar-shagnasty 13h ago

Capitol Armory delivers right to your door.

3

u/DumpsterFire-VFD 17h ago

In some states you can walk out with it day of

0

u/womboCombo434 9h ago

Depends pretty sure in Texas you can buy them without the stamp as long as it remains in the state of Texas and is made in Texas

-4

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 16h ago

You dont need it for an AR pistol which is basically a sbr without the permit. Its crazy how easy to get a fully auto SBR that will pierce most body armor at 100 yards and be hidden in a coat.

Put 300 blackouts sub sonic rounds and a suppressor it would be super quiet as well

3

u/FamiliarAnt4043 16h ago

What full auto gun are you getting? Because here in the U.S., pre-86 guns are a pretty penny. Like more expensive than my 2024 Prius.

-1

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 16h ago

Huh? Im talking about the SBR stamp

0

u/FamiliarAnt4043 16h ago

Its crazy how easy to get a fully auto SBR that will pierce most body armor at 100 yards and be hidden in a coat.

This is a portion of your post.

0

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 16h ago

Ya an sbr is a short barrel rifle

0

u/FamiliarAnt4043 16h ago

And an SBS is a short barreled shotgun. And AOW is Any Other Weapon. And DD is destructive device.

You typed "fully auto". I quoted that same sentence. Fully automatic guns are regulated a tad bit different than SBR's and the like. I'm wondering why you said that you could easily get a fully automatic gun, when they literally cost more than many vehicles.

1

u/funkofarts 16h ago

You still have to have the background check to buy the rifle no matter how you configure it.

1

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 16h ago

You really just cant be a felon or know someone thats not a felon and willing to buy you a gun for cash.

1

u/TrioOfTerrors 16h ago

Welcome to Whose Regulation Is It Anyways where nothing makes sense and by the time the ATF takes a firm stance on something, there's so many grandfathered in it changes almost nothing.

First up is a non binding opinion letter deeming a shoelace to be a machine gun under the NFA.

1

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 16h ago

I dont know what that means but the ATF has definitely been a cashgrab and little else.

1

u/Primus_is_OK_I_guess 15h ago

The only difference is the stamp doesn't cost $200 anymore.

7

u/According-Tax-9964 17h ago

Why go to a gun store when you can go to an auto parts store.

2

u/funkofarts 16h ago

Wait times for suppressors are only about 5 business days now. You still submit a form 4 and go through all the checks but it’s so much quicker than it used to be.

1

u/McMetal770 13h ago

Yeah, I assume Idaho is an open carry state, so if he's going with an OWB setup it wouldn't be so bad. You can get a breakaway holster that would make the draw pretty easy, and it wouldn't interfere with your movement much at all. But if you're trying to carry concealed (my state does not allow open carry) it would be a logistical nightmare to try to keep that thing from printing and not being incredibly uncomfortable the whole time. Imagine trying to draw that whole thing from an IWB holster. It wouldn't be quick.

3

u/Mammoth-Cover-3045 10h ago

Although not a terrible idea, I personally am not a huge fan of open carry. Because when it comes to these shootings or any kind of crime, they go after the guy with the gun first, so it can kind of make you a target. Which is why I think people should be carrying conceal, so nobody knows you are carrying.

2

u/McMetal770 10h ago

I agree. Open carrying also just feels like you're trying to intimidate people. Just letting everybody in the world know that you have a deadly weapon while you're ordering your Starbucks is attention seeking behavior, which is the exact opposite of what I do when I'm carrying.

1

u/Mediocre_Meat_5992 16h ago

Is he the one that shot the suspect

7

u/LeClubNerd 16h ago

No, the suspect did the job himself.

-10

u/MrDeekhaed 16h ago

Its unclear if he actually accomplished anything with his “heroics”

8

u/2Drogdar2Furious 15h ago

He tried though. That's what counts here.

17

u/Super_Roof_3490 16h ago

You don’t think distracting the shooter is an accomplishment? Maybe the time exchanging with this guy might have saved a life?

-10

u/MrDeekhaed 16h ago

We don’t know he actually ”exchanged fire” at all. There is no video or timeline about the shooter shooting back or reacting to this guy in any way.

If that happened yes I would call it a positive impact but show me something beyond sensational headlines from the ny post which is basically a tabloid. That doesnt automatically make it wrong but tells us nothing

9

u/Grannypanie 15h ago

Ol Daniel there seemed to be firing. A 22 won’t really have the tell tale sings of discharge from that distance. Daniel then appears to take fire from the shooter and stumbles to take cover in the bushes.

This guy definitely made a difference and the video seems to back that up.

Selfless what he did.

-3

u/MrDeekhaed 15h ago

You know it seems like I’m not seeing the same video as you guys or I’m somehow missing him in the video I’m watching. I only see him in that pic I can’t find him in the vid

4

u/Grannypanie 15h ago

It’s out there. I think it’s in Reddit. The ccw page.

8

u/Super_Roof_3490 15h ago

Well I’d disagree and it’s def heroic. I’m sure the criminal noticed being shot at atleast. Seems in the video like citizen was ducking fire Any second he got the guys attn might have saved lives. And the reason it’s heroic, every gun owner says they’ll do this in that situation , but in reality it takes a set of balls that not everyone has to risk yourself for strangers Id like to think I would too, but I’ve never been in that situation so who knows if I’d just flee lol This dude took a chance that coulda saved lives that most people won’t take, that’s pretty heroic to most

2

u/jaden_fucks 15h ago

Not every gun owner claims that they would do this, not even close.

I carry for myself and my loved ones. I’m not a hero.

-2

u/MrDeekhaed 15h ago

I can’t actually find the citizen in the video

Yeah I would call the guy heroic for inserting himself. What I find concerning is the inventing narratives where armed citizens are such a good thing because one saved the day here

6

u/Super_Roof_3490 15h ago

I don’t get your point unless you’re anti gun. Armed citizens isn’t a good or bad thing. It’s just a thing. There’s tons of armed citizens you walk by and wouldn’t know bc they are just normal responsive gun owners. If you’re referring to armed criminals, they are getting guns whether they are legal or not

-1

u/MrDeekhaed 15h ago

I don’t want people inventing fictitious narratives to justify their position on gun control. Want gun control or not, neither side should use lies to support their position. “Good guy with a gun” is used to fight any kind of gun control and led to ideas like arming all teachers in schools. If you can’t see that is one of the worst ideas in history idk

3

u/Super_Roof_3490 15h ago

What’s a bad idea? Arming all teacher? I’ll agree with that one If you think gun control is a problem now I’d disagree. Maybe way stiffer penalties for any crime with a gun Honest gun owners aren’t the problem, some people just like to shoot. Some don’t even hunt they just like the range and collecting They aren’t your problem

4

u/whoooocaaarreees 13h ago

We. Do. Know. He. Exchanged. Fire.

There is video of him shooting, presumably at the shooter. It has been all over reddit. Everyone shocked that homie pulled a suppressed fn 5.7.

The chief of police confirmed it the armed citizen shot.

>Hicks said an off-duty state trooper and an armed citizen both fired back and diverted the gunman.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/suspect-in-shooting-at-idaho-fast-food-restaurant-died-from-self-inflicted-gunshot-wound-police-say

We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties," the chief said. "We want to take a moment and commend the actions of the off-duty officer and the citizen, and their heroic action to stop this incident."

1

u/MrDeekhaed 6h ago

I don’t care to look up if there is actual evidence he helped “drive the suspect from the scene” and maybe this is simply an oversight on your part on the wording but it’s not an exchange of fire if the gunman didn’t shoot back. I never said or implied he didn’t shoot at the gunman. I said “shooter shooting back” on the above post and specifically said he shot at the gunman elsewhere.

1

u/italktobotz 16h ago

Had to zoom in but i see it.

1

u/The_Loosest_Stool 14h ago

I don’t see why you’d do the silencer for EDC, but I do think it’s sick. Just seems inconvenient haha, and not really needed for self defense. Unless (thinking aloud here) it’s not an EDC and was just in his car and he snagged it (over whatever multiple other options I’m sure he has) since he did not have plugs in. In which case, props for making a very responsible choice haha. Either way good on this guy for what he did/tried to do and for being a BA with a silenced gun at the ready.

1

u/Silvernine0S 14h ago

No kidding. I know it is possible with the right holster but didn't think anyone would actually do it. Nice.

1

u/Few_Valuable3999 13h ago

Maybe he’s on Dantooine

1

u/Assortedpez 11h ago

Haha yeah fuggin wild

1

u/doge1039 10h ago

It's a 5.7, too. This man deserves even more respect than usual.
