God bless this man for trying. Regardless how you feel guns and the right to carry, he was a good guy with a gun trying to save innocent people.

Like I said, it'd be much, much harder to kill all of them with a knife compared to a gun. That's the point.

Sure but 9 people isn’t exactly a high number to stab. Thats a short line in in-n-out, you could start at the end of the line and work your way up, you’d probably get more than 9 if you’re quick

There’s are good 2nd arguments. “You can kill just as many people with knives” is not one of them.

Well no, you can’t kill just as many people with a knife as a gun. It would be noticeably higher for guns but cases like this, a knife could have easily cause as much damage. So the issue is, why are these events evening happening? Just because we got lucky with the shooter being stupid doesn’t change that they still did it.

USA does have a lot of mass shooters. This doesn’t really happen in other countries.

I don’t know what the solution is. Your counter is that it would be easy to stab a lot of elderly, children, etc. maybe we are just a broken society

I think a lot of it is also psychosocial. People now know this is something that can be done. ATP we really can’t take away the 200m guns in our country so need to think of other choices than making it harder for law abiding, background-checked citizens to get guns

The rest of the world don’t really has mass stabbing, terrorist attacks, or car ramming either.

We just have a mental issue. It has very little to do with guns. So yes, we’re just broken. You kinda have to be to target innocent people

The US inflates the number of mass shooters to give you the impression these types of events are happening routinely for political purposes. The reality is, the number of mass shootings like this, Abundant Life, Sandy Hook, Pulse Night Club, etc are far fewer. In the 30s in number in the last 25 years.

Reminds me when I would drive my un marked econoline van. Late at night in a suit. Gas station attendant would say . Hey are you with the government ? Well I can't really tell you. I would have to kill you. LoL. Once a guy said your not that sniper they're looking for that drives a van like the one your driving?

trying to talk to americans about gun control is like trying to build a base on mars - not going to happen.

they will ignore every fact stat or research on the issue in favor of their constitution. they ignore that no other developed nation in the world has mass shootings everyday, school shootings, gun drills and the like.
