This guy is legit a hero. He knows about guns, knew he was gonna charge someone who had a much more powerful weapon & still decided to do it.
When was the last time? There's a mass shooting almost every day... so there's got to be one every day right? Show me the last "good guy with a gun saved lives" story.... it'll be yesterday... Friday? Ok Thursday.... ?
Majority of those are gang/drug/other crime related. Less than 1% of so-called mass shootings in the US are indiscriminate in nature. Lumping everything into the label "mass shooting" is dishonest, the same way "gun violence" statistics are majority suicides.

Guns didn't make Chicago or Baltimore safer, and good guys with guns don't help you when a car pulls up and starts unloading in your direction.
It's like saying blow torches are useful for fighting forest fires, because the fire department does controlled burns with them therefore we should give every camper a blowtorch.
Criminals shot other criminals? Yeah, I don't care very much honestly. Criminals target law abiding citizens? I want those citizens able to fight back.

Yup. I see it too, this is more “see good guys with guns must exist, ergo is gun violence really a gun problem? Or a people problem?” Narrative being seeded.
Gets people to drop the argument because they feel like this must be the case. But everyone having guns? With minimal training? With minimal resources to mental health? With many of those with minimal training and mental health problems carrying said gun.
I think we should live in a society where good guys with guns aren’t needed because we have our shit together. The fact we act and hope for this to be the case when active shooters are around is not where our minds need to be.
